Philip Kingsley Hair Essentials

October 2, 2013 Carissa Beam Leave a Comment

With the change of the season and the fall weather here, naturally its time to make some hair changes. While I never fully part with my blonde, I tend to throw some low lights in once the air becomes crisp to get away from the beach bleach blonde and add some warmth. My biggest challenge is making sure my hair stays healthy with every dye and highlight. I’ve heard about many different product lines claiming to restore that shine and health to your hair strands but this year I decided to give Philip Kingsley’s line a try.

I was sick of having a nice fresh color and my hair looking ratty and sometimes even splitting at the ends.  The worst part is after I did a dye or bleach I always felt like my hair was lacking moisture and shine, no matter how much I conditioned.  I tried Philip Kingsley’s Elasticizer- the pre shampoo conditioner, then shampooed, and finished off with PK conditioner. I was utterly amazing at the difference in my hair after just ONE application. I am now officially a Philip Kingsley girl and totally hooked!

This “cult” hair care essential from Philip Kingsley will dramatically improve the condition of your hair after just one use.  The world’s first pre shampoo conditioning treatment and Philip’s number one “hero” product will not thicken hair or weigh it down.  Suitable for all hair types, Elasticizer delivers a rush of moisture inside the hair’s cuticle – silkiness, suppleness, elasticity, bounce and strength are instantly apparent.

Elasticizer has become a vital part of every Philip Kingsley Clinical Treatment.  Visible results from one application will build with continued use.  The perfect ingredient combination continues to provide UV protection even after washing – helping prolong the life of color treatments.

For best results, before washing, wet hair thoroughly and apply Elasticizer in sections, especially at the mid lengths and ends.  Use fingertips to work in thoroughly for one minute and then shampoo and rinse twice before conditioning as usual.  For an extra affect for severely damaged hair, cover with a plastic cap for 20 minutes before shampooing hair.

The Philip Kingsley Elasticizer retails for $45 (150 ml) or $25 (75 ml)

I love that this product can be used in a quick shower OR if you want to take a night for pampering (wrapping for 20 minutes). Either way the Philip Kingsley line has quickly worked into my everyday routine!

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
