Do you live and breathe sports? Do you spend all of your spare time being active, participating in sports and watching your favorite teams romp to victory? I bet you’d love to work in a job that allows you to earn money and indulge in your passion, right? Lucky for you, there are so many opportunities to work in sports, that no matter where your strengths lie, there is sure to be a job for you! Don’t believe me? Check out these great jobs for guys who love sports:

Recreational Worker

As a recreational worker, you will be tasked with organizing and running leisure activities at camps, on cruise ships, or at holiday resorts. You’ll be able to spend a lot of time outdoors instruction guests on how to play various sports and games and ensuring that they do so safely and have a great time. Basically, you get paid to have lots of fun!

Sports Writer

If you have a way with words and you’re passionate about at least one sport, to the point that you can write passionately and enthusiastically about it, then there is no reason why you couldn’t make it as a sports writer. Sure, you might not be picked up by Sports Illustrated or Golf Digest (Although there’s no reason why you couldn’t be), but thanks to the internet and the abundance of sports themed blogs and websites, there is no reason why you can’t make a full-time living out of writing.

Referee

Being a referee or an umpire is a great way to spend your days in the thick of it, participating in the sport you love in a meaningful way. If you’re good at it, you could not only make a lot of money, but you could get to rub shoulders with some of your sporting heroes too! Do bear in mind, though, that being a referee is a very responsible role and it’s much harder work than you might think too.

Coach or Instructor

If you’re particularly good at a sport, whether it be football or skiing, becoming a coach could be quite lucrative and enable you to spend your days doing what you love. If you Get A Ski Instructor Course Qualification or Train to Be a Football Coach, you will also get the satisfaction of training young people and watching them go on to greatness. You will usually need a degree or professional instructor qualification to break into coaching.

Scouting

As a talent scout, you could earn around $36000 per year, which might not seem like an awful lot, but it’s not nothing and you will be down there on the ground working with your favorite sports teams to find new talent. Who knows, you might even discover the next Muhammed Ali or Tom Brady and that would be something to be really proud of!

Do you work in sports? What do you do? Are there any great sports jobs that I’ve missed out?

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
