How Far Would You Go for Beauty?

November 12, 2017 Rachel Ferrucci Leave a Comment

Whether it’s cutting all your hair, throwing out old clothes or undergoing cosmetic surgery, there are different limitations that we all set ourselves when it comes to fashion. Some people draw the line at makeup, while others believe there is no real limit when it comes to real beauty. While beauty may be in the eye of the beholder, you can’t neglect the importance of feeling comfortable in your own skin. For some, that means going through some rigorous treatments, while for others, it means dedication.

What does your beauty table look like?

How often do you personally change your makeup? Some people prefer to change it every season, while others will wait until the shelf life date. Sometimes you change it based on what type of look you want to portray, and at other times you’ll change it whenever there’s a new fad.

If you spend a lot of time looking at fashion magazines and reading social media posts, then you might even buy a new product whenever someone endorses it or writes a positive review on it. In fact, there are many popular fashion and makeup blogs that talk a lot about what type of products to use, and this can easily influence your decisions.

You might find that owning several dozen different foundations or makeup boxes can be incredibly expensive, but if you consider yourself a true beauty advocate, then it might be necessary to have something for every occasion. Of course, this really just depends on how far you’re willing to go to obtain the ultimate look. You might spend years looking for the right products, or you might be content with whatever is cheap and convenient to purchase. However, without trying out different products on a regular basis, you won’t be able to find those perfect beauty products.

Would you go under the knife?

Some people are willing to undergo cosmetic surgery just to obtain the perfect body and appearance. This is a drastic decision that comes with many considerations, so it’s certainly not something to be taken lightly. However, it can drastically change how you look and it’s the last resort when dieting, makeup and lifestyle changes won’t cut it.

Luckily, there are non-surgical procedures too. For instance, a botox injection reducing wrinkles treatment can smooth out wrinkles without requiring any kind of surgery. There are also non-surgical treatments nose jobs and facelifts that can alter your appearance without complicated surgery.

However, drastic changes usually do require surgery. Breast augmentation and liposuction do require complicated procedures, but they can make extreme changes to your body that would otherwise take years of dedication or could be physically impossible.

How far would you go?

How much you dedicate to beauty is entirely dependent on your lifestyle and your needs. In most cases, making a few changes to your lifestyle is enough to change your appearance. Simple things like styling your hair differently or changing your wardrobe can change how you look, but for those that want something more drastic, you may need to invest more of your time and money.

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
