Dole Parfait Cups Review #DoleParfaitEscape

Finding quick and easy snacks may be easy, but your taste buds may not always agree with the convenience factor. We were sent a sample of the Dole Parfait and if your taste buds are like mine, the convenient snacks aren’t always the healthiest either. I’m always looking for healthy snacks that taste good and are appeasing to my two year old grandson as well. His parents like him to eat only healthy snacks, but what grandma on the go really has all tasty snacks- AND they have to be healthy??

photo

My daughter is a big fruit and yogurt fan but lets face it, making your own parfait isn’t quick and easy… It takes time you cut up the fruit and put everything together.

My grandson was at my house looking for a snack (that was mom approved since my daughter was there too), so I decided to give my newly acquired Dole Parfaits a shot. Each little cup has a bottom layer of crème with chunks of fruit piled on top. Not only is each cup low fat, but they’re delicious and CONVENIENT (all you do is pop the top and viola). The cups come in three different varieties: peaches and crème, apples and crème, and pineapples and crème. My grandson’s favorite is the apples and crème, while I prefer the peaches and crème, but all are yummy.

The best part is in addition to being a snack, my daughter also uses them as a desert incentive for my grandson to finish his dinner.. it’s a WIN-WIN!

• DOLE Fruit Parfaits offers a cool, refreshing taste of real fruit with a smooth layer of deliciously light-tasting crème

• DOLE Fruit Parfaits contain all natural fruit and are rich in Vitamin C

• DOLE Fruit Parfaits are naturally low fat, cholesterol free and very low in sodium

• DOLE Fruit Parfaits are available in the canned fruit section at select grocery retailers and online

• Suggested retail price is $2.79/per package of four

• Please visit http://www.dole.com for more information

What snacks do you like to give your kids?

    My kid was eating the plain fruit cups (she has a dairy allergy) but then I saw these. Talk about yum in a cup! It’s a dessert that I don’t have to feel guilty about.

    I’ve had the Pineapple and Cream parfaits before and they are te-die-fer! My children love the Dole Fruit in Gelatin for snacks, they have not tried the parfaits as of yet (I like to hide them so they are all for me, lol).

    These are tasty! Not only yummy but healthy and affordable. My favorite part, they are easy to toss in the kids cold lunches. 😉 I wonder if they will ever come out with a strawberry or blueberry one…??

    I’ve never tried these but my kids are constantly asking for them. I may have to give in and buy a package of the peaches.

    I haven’t tried them, I’ve seen them in the store though. I’ll give it a try after my 28 day diet! But definitely will consider as a healthier alternative for my children’s dessert!

    I have a bowl of fruit for my son every day after school-once in a while we’ve bought these. Son loves them , daughter doesn’t care for them much–not a huge yogurt fan “its like babyfood!” =}

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
