Diet Coke Ice Cream Float

August 29, 2013 Rachel Ferrucci Leave a Comment

The summer may be coming to an end but that doesn’t mean all the yumminess has to. One of my favorite summertime desserts. Now you may think there is no science to making this delicious drink but there is a secret. Diet Coke has no calories so you only need to count the ice cream!

Diet Coke Float

  1. Add a 1/2 scope of vanilla ice cream and add Diet Coke to almost cover the ice cream, stir well.
  2. Add 2 scopes of ice cream (your choice of flavor) I love vanilla
  3. Pour Diet Coke over ice cream until foam reached top of glass
  4. Add straw
  5. Add spoon
  6. Enjoy

Diet Coke sent me some of their smaller cans and they are the perfect size to make a float. No left overs wasted!

And, did you know:

·         In 1995, Diet Coke became the first diet soda served in space

·         The one-of-a-kind Diet Coke taste you love is made possible by aspartame, the world’s leading and most researched no calorie sweetener

Do you have a Diet Coke ritual?  Does it need to be poured over crushed ice and enjoyed with a straw?  Do you prefer it right out of a can?

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
