Coloring Your Pubic Hair

January 3, 2012 Rachel Ferrucci 24 Comments

I’m going gray, can you color your pubic hair? ~Ann

Coloring pubic hair has been around awhile but those who were faithful to brazillian waxing are now looking for something different. This is also a great alternative for those who are starting to turn gray. If you color the hair on your head when it starts to turn gray, why would you let in go below the equator?

Coloring pubic hair is totally safe and can be a fun way to spice things up. There was the “Tiffany Box” trend in Hollywood. Pubic hair was waxed into a small square, bleached, and then dyed a light blue. Add a bow and you had your own gift to give. The three reasons people want to try this is you can match the carpet with the drapes, get rid of the gray, or go for the wow factor and try a hot pink!

There’s a few companies who now sell pubic hair color. Betty was the first to come out and is sold in many states. You can check the location near you. No matter who you get the color from. It’s very important that you read the instructions and do a test area!

The color we use on our head has stronger chemicals and you NEVER want to use this to color pubes! If you’re really afraid to try this on your own, you can turn to the professional and find a salon who wax and color as their specialty.

No matter how you get it done, have fun with it and be safe! Oh and of course let us know if you love it, hate it, or recommend it!

Do you have a question about your body, sex, or just want to make sure you’re not alone? Send your question to askRachel@RachelFerrucci.com (please let me know if you’d like your first name or anonymous)

I am with Ellen on this one…this NEVER would have crossed my mind as an option! A little blue patch with a bow would certainly make things interesting, though!

I had heard once this could be done, but thought it was a rumor. Now I am thinking it would be FUN. I could have all the colors I wouldn’t color the drapes.

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
