  Do Blondes Have More Fun?

 

Most of my life I was blonde thanks to color and highlights. I wasn’t a bleached blonde but close enough. I would sometimes go back to my natural light brown color, but I’ve noticed in the last couple of years my hair has gotten darker. It was very easy for me to change a color since I was a cosmetologist.

 

 

I realized as a blonde, I would use the phrase, “I had a blonde moment” quite often. I was now a brunette and felt if I used that same phrase, it was a cut on blondes. I never thought of it as an insult when I was a blonde but now I wasn’t a part of the “club”.

It made me wonder. You always hear that blondes have more fun. Is this true? What’s the difference between a blonde and a brunette?

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Here are the main findings with my experiment;

Business-

Brunettes are taken more serious. Blondes have to work harder to get respect in the business world.

Mistakes-

When you make a mistake as a blonde, it’s brushed off – this is expected of a blonde, hence, “having a blonde moment”

When you make a mistake as a brunette, it’s pointed out and you need to rectify yourself. You have no excuse why you should say or do that.

Men-

Wearing the same outfits, I got the same amount of attention. Doors were usually held for both blonde and brunette.

Women-

More women checked me out as blonde than as a brunette.

Shopping-

I was asked if I needed help more as a blonde. I think it was because they thought I would need more assistance finding the cash register since I was blonde.

Fun-

I don’t think Blondes Have More Fun! They may be able to be ditzy and get away with it but I had a blast as both. If you have a fun personality, you’re going to have fun!
