Banishing Winter Skin the Easy Way

March 15, 2017 Rachel Ferrucci Leave a Comment

Winter is finally coming to an end, and with that Spring is on its way. You can smell the fresh, crisp air. The sun is beaming down, even if it is still a little cold. It’s a beautiful time of year, with buds bursting into life. And, with the sun out, everyone seems happier. But, there is only one thing stopping your joy. Dull, winter skin.

The colder seasons play havoc with our complexion; the cold bites at our face, leaving it dry and dull. It’s time to banish skin in four easy steps.

Step 1: Invest in quality products

So many of us head to our old favorites when it comes to our skincare regime, but it’s time to give your beauty tool kit a shake up. When it comes to using in the right products, it’s true what they say; you get what you pay for. Luxury products, such as Jeunesse Instantly Ageless, and the companies that own them, have access to some of the best ingredients on the market thus helping you achieve that much-coveted smooth, lineless look. There is a greater investment in science and research and development in bigger beauty organizations. So, it’s well worth splashing out and investing in your face. The textures and formulas of high-end products show visible results, so don’t be afraid to spend a little more to see better results. closeup womans face

Step 2: Keep up a good regimen

OK, so now you have the right products, it’s time to keep up with the regimen. While many think that putting a face mask on one a week will achieve clear results, that’s simply not the case. You need to be cleansing and toning at least once a day and moisturizing twice. Invest in a BB SPF cream for mornings and a thicker cold cream for the night time. If you can, try to use a gentle scrub on your face every three days. This will guarantee that dull winter skin is revived within a couple of weeks.

Step 3: Water, water everywhere

With summer on the way, and the air getting warmer, it’s likely that you won’t want to indulge in as many hot drinks as you have done over the winter. It’s time to pull out the trusty bottle of water. Not only will you feel more energized, but your skin will see the benefits too. I won’t bore you with the details, as we’re all au fait with how water is fantastic for your skin. But, it does give skin its elasticity back, reduces fine lines and wrinkles and gets rid of those nasty breakouts. Get guzzling and give your skin some love. lemon water

Step 4: Pucker up baby, it’s all about the lips

Winter plays havoc not only with our skin but with our lips too. How can you even think about putting a slash of red lipstick on if they’re chapped, cracked and lackluster? Investing in your lip care regime is simple too. Petroleum jelly is a store cupboard staple for many people, and it’s a simple yet effective way of keeping your lips utterly kissable and smooth.

Follow these tips, and you’ll be as radiant on the outside as you feel on the inside.

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
