Whether you are traveling for business or pleasure, there are some items you shouldn’t travel without. There are the obvious ones—such as your basic clothing and toiletries—but others are easier to forget. Below are the most important items we think you should always take with you that are the easiest to forget. Here are 5 Items You Shouldn’t Travel Without!
Sunscreen
In the summer, when traveling to warm destinations, this is an item most people will pack. But even when you are traveling in winter or to colder destinations, you really need to keep this with you. The sun can be quite powerful no matter the temperature or season. And if you are traveling outside of the US, it can also get very expensive, so make sure you take it with you rather than waiting to purchase it once you arrive.
Cute-but-Comfortable Flats
Shoes take up a lot of room in your suitcase, so you want your pick to really work for you. Cute, comfortable flats are the way to go. They pair well with most looks and can keep your feet cozy as you explore your destination.
Sunglasses
When walking down the street right into the sun, you will find yourself wishing you had good sunglasses. But in addition to their practical use, they are also great for hiding the fact that you might not have gotten enough sleep. In addition to late nights, not all of us get our best sleep while on the road.
Basic Medicines
Hotels will have these stocked, but you will also be paying a pretty penny for them. If you are traveling in the US, this might not be a big concern for you, but if you are traveling abroad, you might not be able to find the medicines you are comfortable with. Rather than risk it, take some with you.
Phone Numbers
How many times have you said you would be lost without your phone? When traveling you should keep a small phone book, we’re talking old school here, and keep all your important phone numbers in it. If you should ever lose or damage your phone at least you’ll have the ones you need on hand.
