When you’ve got an amazing team of women backing you leading up to and on your wedding day, you had better be sure to prepare only THE BEST gifts for them. I’m sure people have their own reasons for choosing amongst the various adorable gift options that are out there, but I had a large bridal party (6 bridesmaids and 2 junior bridesmaids), all with varying interests and personalities. I knew my gift had to be something that was not only affordable for me, but also something that would be cute, practical and universal. I wanted unique bridal party gifts for everyday use.
I’m prone to giving multifaceted gifts, more like creative kits with mini surprises hidden inside. I knew there would be some smaller, more affordable pieces, but I wanted to feature at least one big-ticket item. Having been a professional bridal makeup artist in a past life, I couldn’t shake the idea of a makeup bag as the showpiece. I’ve always loved the way that makeup bags can be used for so many other things – a to-go bag for your everyday items, the ideal toiletry bag for a weekend trip, a tech baggie for your portable items and chargers, and of course, the perfect pack for all your daily makeup and brushes. Once I made up my mind, the only question left was which brand was right for me?
A family friend of ours is always rocking the most adorable bags, no matter the occasion. Every time I asked her about them, she would say she got them from Quilted Koala, a brand that was at the time brand new to me. What I noticed, besides the fact that these bags were super stylish, they were also durable and machine washable. For me this is a must-have because I feel like my makeup bag is destined for filth whenever pencil shavings get loose, or a foundation suddenly explodes! The Quilted Koala makeup bags are particularly special because they feature a waterproof lining inside, which keeps the quilted exterior looking fresh and clean, in the event a makeup malfunction were to occur. Depending on your budget, there is the opportunity to also customize bags for an event or for gifting purposes, which I think adds a very nice touch to the already wonderful collection of products they offer.
Needless to say, I was happy to choose Quilted Koala bags for my bridal party gifts, and my ladies were very appreciative and enthusiastic about receiving them at the rehearsal dinner! Some of my ladies even emptied out their bags and were ready to use them the next day while we got dolled up. The makeup bags are surprisingly spacious, and I was able to fit lots of bonus gifts inside of each, including one of my extra large personalized handmade aScent candles, a decorative hair piece and initialed bracelet for them to wear at the wedding and a personalized champagne glass. I was amazed and impressed that there was room for all this in the makeup bag – and room to spare!
I’ve already made another purchase for a super travel duffle set with large makeup bag as an early Christmas present to myself, and I look forward to many more satisfied purchases with Quilted Koala!
