Kids’ parties can be magical. But actually organizing them can be a real challenge. There’s so much to think about, from the entertainment to the presents to the guests. What’s more, some of us are worried about the cost. We want to keep up with the Joneses, but there just isn’t enough money in the bank to make it happen.
The good news is that kids, in general, don’t care about the money. They just want to have fun, whether that’s on the latest smartphone or with a cardboard box. You can use this lack of fussiness on the part of kids to organize fun games and activities that they’ll remember for the rest of their lives.
Start With A Bang

Everybody loves novelty, but kids really like new things, especially if they present an opportunity for fun and play. One really cool idea is to start off with a balloon avalanche. Buy a few large bags of balloons and then team up with your partner and your kids to blow up enough balloons to fill your hallway. Then, as soon as the front door is opened, children are presented with a fun balloon avalanche, immediately getting them into the party spirit.
Go Somewhere Special
You don’t have to stay in the house to have a great time. There are loads of amazing birthday party places that your kids will love. The great thing about choosing somewhere besides your home is that you don’t have to spend hours tidying up afterward. What’s more, many locations, like laser tag, will put on food and drinks for you, taking away some of the hassle of organizing everything yourself.
Decorate The House
If you’re into DIY, you’ll love this. Birthday parties are the perfect excuse to decorate the house from top to bottom. You can do pretty much anything you like, but it’s best to focus on places that aren’t usually decorated for added effect. Putting decorations on stair rails, chairs and tables is a great way to create a party atmosphere and get everybody in the mood for fun.
Be Creative With Your Entertainment

Children get the majority of their entertainment online. That’s okay, but it pales in comparison with live entertainment. There are dozens of party entertainers out doing everything from Punch and Judy to clown shows. Think about the type of entertainment your child loves to watch online and then try to find somebody who can provide similar entertainment in real life. Do they like juggling? Magic tricks? Puppet shows? Hiring real life entertainment can help create memories that last a lifetime.
Come Up With New Games
Parents tend to resort to the same party games, over and over again. But there’s only so many times you can play pass the parcel without getting bored. The great thing about games is that you can be inventive and come up with your own.
What about hosting your own mini Olympics with sports invented by the kids themselves? That could be both creative and entertaining!
