The Walking Dead Season 4 Episode 11 Recap

Remembering last week Glen has just passed out leaving Tara to finish the walkers and we meet Sgt. Abraham. This week begins with Glen out cold prompting Tara to make the only decision she can and deciding to get in the bed of the truck for safety until Glen wakes up. Sgt Abraham and crew pass a few walkers swarming a balloon that’s tied to a stop sign. The walkers follow the truck until the group comes to a road block of broken down vehicles. The walkers attack the truck & Tara draws her gun when Sgt Abraham tells her not to shoot the walkers. He instead meets the walkers with a smile and puts them down obviously enjoying himself. After finishing, Tara looks puzzled and tells him that shes never seen anything like that, the Sgt replies saying he just watched her do the same thing. Tara tells him that she wasn’t talking about him killing them but that he was smiling while doing it.

Back at the house Carl and Michonne are sitting at the table having breakfast joking & telling stories when Carl brings up Judith and gets upset then walks out. Michonne and Rick decide they need more supplies and plan to make a run. Rick says he wants to go but Michonne tells him that they need him healthy and convinces him to rest one more day. Michonne takes Carl & they scavenge a couple houses filling most of their bags, all the while Michonne is trying to cheer Carl up but nothing seems to work. When they come to the last house Michonne tells michonneCarl about her son. Of course Carl has a ton of questions for Michonne & she actually agrees to answer his questions but only one at a time after they clear a room. Moving room to room Michonne seems to be very interested in the paintings on the wall & she fills Carl in about her previous life. While clearing the rooms Carl finds a wrapped painting & brings it to Michonne. After he goes ahead to clear the next room she unwraps it only to discover that it has been covered in blood with the writing “No No No”. Michonne moves on to find a childs room that leads to another room where she finds the entire family decaying in the beds together. Apparently the same person that covered the painting with blood killed the family. Michonne turns around and there is a body sitting in the rocking chair shot through the head. They must have decided to all die together and the last committed suicide, rather than face the world. Michonne gets out of there just as Carl shows up looking for her. He says to her “There’s a baby in there” Michonne replies “it’s a dog”. After Carl tells her that maybe Judith is with Andre (Michonne’s Son) somewhere.

Rick is napping back at the house when he is woke up to the sounds of men downstairs. He hides under the bed when a man comes into the room and lays down to take a nap. Soon after, another intruder comes in, wakes the man up and tells him to leave so he can have the bed. They begin to fight, resulting in one of the men being killed. After the second intruder falls asleep Rick is able to slip out then finds himself in a the bathroom face to face with one of the men. They fight and Rick is able to kill the man, then escapes the house out the window onto the roof. He jumps onto the porch then makes his way around the house. He comes up to the porch where one of the intruders is eating & resting so Rick is stuck. In the distance he sees that Michonne & Carl are coming up the road. Just as Rick is about to make his move & attack this man to keep him from discovering them, walkers attack the house. This gives Rick the chance to make a clean getaway just in time because Michonne & Carl were almost back. The three of them take off and make their way back to the railroad tracks.

Glen wakes up in the bed of Sgt Fords truck, not knowing where he is or how far they have traveled from the prison. He yells to stop the truck & let them out, but has to break the window before Sgt Ford will stop. Glen jumps out and takes off back toward the prison but Sgt Ford stops him telling him that Eugene is a scientist and he knows what eugenecaused the walkers. Sgt Ford tells him that their mission is to get Eugene to Washington, but when Glen asks him to explain Eugene tells him it’s classified information. Glen again tries to leave but Sgt Ford stops him telling him that he has no chance of finding his wife & she is dead. After that Glen drops him with a right to the jaw & they start to fight. During the fight here comes a pack of walkers out of the cornfield toward the group & with the boys fighting it leaves our new found scientist Eugene to take them out. Obviously Eugene is not comfortable with a gun & ends up shooting their truck leaving them stranded. Once stranded Rosita decides to go with Glen & Tara and Eugene tells Sgt Ford that they will go with them until they can find another vehicle.

We end this episode with Rick, Michonne & Carl walking the railroad tracks stumbling upon a railroad car with a sign leading them to the survivor camp. Rick says “lets go for it” & they head up the tracks. Sgt Ford, Rosita, Eugene & Tara are following Glen for now on his mission to find Maggie. So what they have left us to believe is that Rick, Michonne & Carl may find their way to the survivor camp & find Tyreese, Carol, Judith & the girls. For now Glen is on a mission & we will have to wait for next week to see if he is any closer to finding Maggie. It looks like next week Daryl will be back with Beth, but from the previews it doesn’t look like they find any other group members yet!

Why did no one warn us that menopause would turn our bodies into a crime scene… Dryness. Pain. Sneezing roulette. UTIs showing up uninvited. And doctors smiling politely and saying, “That’s just aging.” Cool. Love that for us.

Say Hello to Silky Peach Cream 🍑 A bioidentical estriol cream that works locally to rebuild thinning tissue, restore moisture, and bring back comfort where it actually matters. Not a Band-Aid. Not a $350 prescription. Not a lube that disappears by lunchtime.

Estriol is the gentlest form of estrogen our bodies naturally make, and Silky Peach Cream puts it back exactly where menopause took it away. Over time, tissue rebuilds, moisture returns, and suddenly intimacy doesn’t feel like sandpaper and regret.

Two pumps nightly. Then maintenance. Because it took years to get this dry… it’s okay if it takes a little time to feel normal again.

I’m done whispering about menopause. I got my life back. And my peach is happy again!

I didn’t expect this to be the hardest part of getting older.

If sex hurts. If you avoid intimacy. If you dread wiping.

It’s not “just dryness.” It’s estrogen loss. And yes, it’s fixable.

Menopause doesn’t ease in quietly. It shows up hot, uncomfortable, and disruptive. And for way too long, women are told to whisper about it or accept it as “just aging.” I’m done with that.

Silky Peach Cream helped restore moisture, rebuild thinning tissue, and bring back comfort where menopause took it away. Not a quick fix. Not a Band-Aid. Just real, gradual relief that made me feel like myself again.

Two pumps. Some patience. And a lot less suffering.

Stop whispering about menopause. You deserve relief. You deserve joy. Your peach deserves to be happy again.

Get the details and try it for yourself at the link in my bio.

When I found out I needed surgery, my 1st thought wasn’t the procedure. It was the fear of being handed opioids again with no real choice. After my last surgery, opioids were the only option I had, my insurance didn’t cover the non-opioid alternatives I specifically asked for. That showed me how quickly exposure can happen. Many people don’t realize that about 1 in 10 patients who receive opioids after surgery will struggle with long-term use. That’s nearly 4 million people per year. It’s no secret that opioids can lead to addiction, & we should be much louder about the fact that there are non opioid options that can be used during surgery to manage pain afterwards.
Medicare already recognizes this & separately reimburses for FDA-approved non-opioid pain treatments, proving these options are real & available. Yet insurance barriers often make them difficult or impossible to access. Instead of making decisions about my recovery with my doctor, insurance policy made them for me. As I prepare for my next surgery, I want access to every option that reduces my exposure. I know how easily things can escalate. I’ve seen opioid use continue far longer than intended. It can tear apart families before anyone realizes what’s happening. What starts as short-term pain management after surgery becomes something no one ever expected, simply because safer options were never offered. It’s frustrating that some major insurers still haven’t expanded coverage the way Medicare has. #UnitedHealthcare is one of the companies whose restrictions make it harder to access FDA-approved non-opioid surgical pain options. Because of their size, these decisions affect millions. Surgery shouldn’t be a gateway to opioid addiction. Medicare covers these options. UnitedHealthcare & others need to do the same so patients aren’t pushed toward opioids by outdated policies. Patients & families deserve better.
