The opening scene is a flash back to Season 1. Rick calls Morgan at dawn on the two way radio to connect and tell him where they are and where they are headed, Morgan never answered. 3 yrs. later (present day) Rick , Carl and Michonne head out on a run for supplies and ammo. They come across a hitch hiker yelling for them to stop, but they pass him by. They also pass a handmade sign that read “Erin, we tried for Stone Mountain. -J”. They are passing cars and bodies when Michonne gets the car stuck in the mud and they are surrounded by walkers. One walker is wearing a bracelet that has says “Erin”. They manage to get out after killing all the walkers. Rick and Carl have a little chat about Michonne and Rick says that he only took her on the run with them because he did not want to leave her at the prison with Merle. She is strong and they all have a common enemy, “The Governor”. The group comes across a little town full of traps and land mines. As they search around for supplies they hear gunfire. Someone is shooting from the roof top. They take cover. As the shooter gets close, Carl comes out of nowhere and shoots the gunman.
As Rick unmasks the gunman, he finds that it’s Morgan. The man who saved his life in Season 1: Episode 1:. Morgan was not injured from the gunshot because he was wearing a bulletproof vest. But he was knocked out long enough for them to get him inside and Rick decides to wait for him to wake up. As Morgan awakes from being knocked out, Rick is there waiting . Morgan is a very different man now. Alone, and affected by all that has happened to him, he attacks Rick and stabs him in the shoulder. Rick finally gets Morgan to recognize him and tells him that he’s been calling him on the two way radio for the last three years. But Morgan doesn’t believe it. He tells Rick “You were never there!” and wants him to leave. Rick asks him to come back to the prison with them. He refuses.
Carl went on a little mission of his own and Michonne goes with with him. They find themselves at a bar filled with walkers. Carl insists on going in alone but Michonne talks sense into him. Carl finds what he was looking for, but drops it on the way out. Michonne decides to go back in to get it for him. It was a photo of Rick, Laurie and Carl that he wants his new born sister Judith to have. This way she will know what her mother looked like. As they walk away, Carl tells Morgan he is sorry for shooting him. After a brief silence, Morgan says “Hey kid, don’t ever be sorry.” In the end Carl finally realizes that Michonne is not so bad and tells Rick that he thinks “she might be one of us”.
See you next week Walkers.
