This is a sponsored conversation written by me on behalf of Olay. The opinions and text are all mine.
I grew up in the 80’s and we considered ourselves sun goddesses. We were young, invincible, and defiant. As much as my mother told me to put on sunscreen, I didn’t listen. I often say to myself, “If only I listened!”
My friends and I would lather ourselves with baby oil and literally bake in the sun. So young, so stupid! As I got older I realized how damaging the baby oil was and started using a tanning lotion with SPF, but I failed to make sure I used SPF in the colder months. I wasn’t one to pay attention to my skin until the signs of aging started showing up fiercely. The worst part was, I was a cosmetologist and I preached to my clients as well as my children how important SPF was!
Fast forward to my current age of 49 and I am now an advocate of SPF as well as a dedicated user. It’s so important to make sure you not only use SPF when at the beach or pool but it should be worn every day. I make sure to have it a part of my daily routine which is why I love my Olay. I’ve been sharing with you about all my Olay products and now I’m introducing you to #mySPFmatch, the Olay Regenerist Whip with SPF 25.
When choosing products, I always look for those so important 3-letters S-P-F. Packed with vitamins, my lightweight Olay Regenerist Whip with SPF 25 goes on sheer leaving my skin able to breathe and protects my skin from the elements of the day. It also creates a great base for my makeup allowing it to go on smooth! It’s so light, you may not believe it has SPF in it but be assured that it does. It’s like the unicorn of moisturizers!
No more deciding which should go on first the sunscreen or the moisturizer. Olay Regenerist Whip with SPF 25 gives you everything you need in one jar!
Here are 5 Reasons Why You Should Not Forget Your SPF
- Sun Rays – There are two types of sun rays that we need to be protected from (UVA and UVB). This includes cold months too!
- Aging/Wrinkles- Sunscreen slows the aging process of your skin which causes wrinkles
- SunSpots – It reduces sun spots (solar lentigos) and skin discoloration.
- Cancer – Skin Cancer is on the rise and sunscreen protects skin from the sun’s ultraviolet which contributes to the development of skin cancer.
- Sunburn- Sunburn is painful and has damaging effects on our skin.

What a convenient product! I am so bad about sunscreen. I usually slather it on in the morning before a day spent outdoors but then forget to reapply later. I’m super pale so I usually end up looking like a lobster!
Rachel Ferrucci says
Trust me, it’s so important. I learned the hard way ! Set a reminder on your phone to reapply!

Sunburns hurt so much and as I age I get more and more sensitive it seems. I just get red and freckled in the sun lol!
Rachel Ferrucci says
Our skin changes every 7 years so it may go back to being not as sensitive but meanwhile PLEASE use your sunscreen. You’ll most likely still get freckles (which are totally in ) but you won’t get red!

Thank you for this reminder and this lovely breakdown on Olay! I am always forgetting my sunscreen and I am definitely understanding why it’s so important!
Rachel Ferrucci says
Put it with your makeup so you don’t forget, or next to your toothpaste and keep one in your purse. Set a reminder on your phone.

I have never used OLAY, but my mom always did. She was an avid OLAY user when I was a kid. She probably still is! I will have to try this out.
Rachel Ferrucci says
You’ll love it!

I am all about sunscreen! Everyone I know tells me that the sun is not as deadly as I make it out to be but it drives me crazy because skin cancer is one of the deadliest things out there so I will keep applying it. I love that you can use these products that work double time, I need to pick some of them up!
Rachel Ferrucci says
I love that you’re all about sunscreen. It IS so important, over the years our ozone layer has broken down and it is stronger than when we were kids so yes it could be deadly.

I SO agree with this article! SPF is very important, no matter if we’re indoors. And in fact, I’ve met a lot of young-looking adults in my travels and their #1 secret is applying sunscreen!
