This is a sponsored post for me to give you my opinion
When we purchase products, we often have been introduced to them through a trusted source. A friend may have referred them, you may have read about them in a magazine or right here on Tools2Tiaras. We also see ads every day online, on TV, on the radio, and even when we’re walking or driving. When I see an ad, I am trusting that they are giving me the correct information and although I’m aware that they’re hyping up the product and most likely exaggerating a bit, it’s my choice whether I want to check the product out myself. I assumed that products in the “healthy” field had to be very truthful by law. I thought they couldn’t make health claims or there would be penalties, fines, and law suits.
I don’t mind when companies exaggerate about losing weight, diminishing wrinkles, or giving you more energy but when a company flat out lies about real health issues that so many have been affected by, gets my blood boiling. The CEO of Bang energy drink is making false claims about the drink and it needs to be stopped.
I’m going to go through each claim that has me outraged and hoping that after reading it, you will join us and help call attention to the FDA to investigate Bang Energy and prioritize the case so we’re all protected.
1. BANG CAN HELP CURE Alzheimer’s Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Huntington’s Disease or other forms of dementia
My grandmother died from Alzheimers, it’s a horrible disease and very painful to watch a loved one go through it. If they had the cure for these diseases wouldn’t it be all over the news, wouldn’t every doctor be talking about it. Let’s be VERY clear here, and you can watch the video on your own but he says “CURE”!
2. Bang Can Reverse Mental Retardation
Again, are you kidding me! Why would someone make such a claim? My uncle was physically disabled but sharp as a whip. He had trouble speaking and his left side of his body had limited muscle strength. For over 50 years my grandfather helped him with daily activities that we take for granted. There are many parents who would give their arm to help their children with any kind of disability.
AND what kind of CEO would actually use those words when you know how offensive it is to people.
3. Bang contains an enhanced form of creatine
Bang DOES NOT contain creatine, much less a special or enhanced form of creatine.
What Bang has dubbed “Super Creatine” is chemically distinct from creatine – and some testing has shown that it is actually not creatine at all. Barker v. VPX, 1:18-cv-06898, Dkt. No. 1 (N.D.Ill.) (Citing tests showing no creatine in Bang)
Bang’s own research indicates that what it calls “Super Creatine” likely does not have the same effect on the human body that actual creatine does.
Bang’s own research states that “no formal” studies have been done on health effects of what it calls “Super Creatine”, meaning no one knows what effect it has on the body, if any.
4. Bang has a valid Patent on “Super Creatine”
The United States Patent & Trademark Office has rejected or cancelled all claims on Owoc’s patent for “Super Creatine”
Even though Bang shows a patent ribbon & number on its can, the United States Patent & Trademark Office has rejected that patent. Owoc continues to mislead the public regarding this patent.
The false claims go on and on, you can see the information about the claims and safety risks for your self at www.thetruthaboutbang.com
