No matter the kind of person you are, the idea of a birthday holds some kind of meaning to you. Sure, maybe you’re someone who doesn’t like a fuss and always appreciates a card on its own, but you’re still emotionally invested in your day, and want someone to wish you a happy one anyway!
So it’s time to make sure that the birthday you have coming up is one you’re never going to forget about, and really get stuck in for a great time amongst the people who love you the most. Here’s some ideas to look into, and some great surprises that’ll put a smile on someone’s face!
Have Your Own Buffet
We all love food, and we especially love the good food that comes from a typical birthday celebration! A birthday cake alone is a delicious centerpiece, and we can find ourselves fighting over the scraps of cake left after everyone’s cut themselves a slice. So keep this in mind when you’re planning your next birthday celebration, as you can very well hire out an entire restaurant and have a buffet to serve you for the entire night.
Get every one of your diet whims catered to, and let yourself go for the night. You’ve made it another year, it’s the perfect time for you to stuff your face full of the jelly and ice cream you loved at your childhood birthday parties.
Try a Group Activity
If you like to hang out with your friends on your birthday, it’s time to put all of you to the test! Partaking in a group activity is going to bring a lot of laughs, a lot of challenges, and hopefully some strengthen bonds between all of you. And hey, if you’re all spending time together at once, you’re going to be equally stretched between everyone you love.
Something like an Escape Room is really going to test all of your skills, as well as be a great hour or so of fun for you all to indulge in. Or you could go rock climbing together, and laugh as someone slips of the wall and gets tethered to the ground again! It’s a lot more fun than simply sitting around having a chat or attending your parents barbecue on the same day, even if you promised to pop in later.
Buy Some Tickets
Short and sweet, but this idea is very effective. If you know a friend or family member of yours is having a birthday soon, and you know how much they love a certain person, band, or group, see if you can grab some tickets to see their next show. For example, it always goes far to have tickets for an afternoon matinee, and then a dinner after the show for someone who’s in love with Broadway.
When it comes to having your birthday, make sure you’re celebrating it in style. Show the person aging with grace that they can have a good time, even at their age!
