The Best Men’s Shoes for Summer Style From Workdays to Weekend Nights

June 2, 2026 Rachel Ferrucci

There is something about summer that makes everything feel a little more relaxed, including how we dress. Linen shirts replace buttoned-up layers, lighter fabrics take over, and suddenly the line between work and weekend starts to blur. But if there is one place where that balance really matters, it is shoes.

Because here is the reality. Whether it is a day that starts with work, turns into errands, and ends with dinner or drinks, men need shoes that can keep up with all of it. I saw this firsthand on our last trip. My husband packed smarter this time, not more shoes, just better ones. Everything had to work across different moments, from polished to casual, without sacrificing comfort.

He started with the Bruno Marc Men’s MaxFlex Dress Sneakers

Oxfords Casual Wingtip Brogue Shoes.

These are where summer style really begins to shift. They have that polished Oxford look, but with the feel of a sneaker. Paired with lightweight pants or even dressed-down tailoring, they create that effortless balance that summer style is all about.

What stood out immediately was the comfort. The cushioning absorbs impact in a way that makes long days feel manageable, and the breathable insole keeps everything feeling fresh even in warmer weather. These are the shoes you wear when you know your day is not going to stay in one lane.

Next came the Bruno Marc Men’s Casual Dress Oxfords

These are the quiet workhorses. The pair that transitions seamlessly from work meetings into evening plans without needing a second thought. The perforated upper keeps them breathable, which matters more than you think when the temperature rises.

They also strike that perfect balance between structured and relaxed. Worn with chinos or even dark denim, they look intentional without feeling overdone. These are the shoes that make getting dressed easier.

Then we moved into what I would call the elevated essentials, starting with the Bruno Marc Men’s Classic Leather Penny Loafers.

There is something about a loafer in summer that just works. Slip-on, easy, and polished without trying too hard. These, in particular, bring that next-level comfort with their lightweight feel and flexible design. Plus, the premium Argentinian leather gives them a much richer, more elevated look than you would expect at this price point.

They paired perfectly with everything from tailored shorts to more refined evening looks. And the fact that they can be packed easily without losing their shape makes them ideal for travel. These are the ones he reached for more than expected.

For more refined moments, the Bruno Marc Men’s Classic Leather Dress Shoes  came into play.

This is where things shift into true elevated style. The premium full-grain leather has that soft, luxurious feel that stands out immediately. It moves with your foot instead of feeling stiff, which makes a huge difference over time.

And then there is the comfort. The cushioning underneath gives that cloud-like feel that you do not usually associate with dress shoes. These are the rare kind that look high-end but are actually wearable for hours. Perfect for dinners, events, or any moment where you want to look polished without sacrificing comfort.

The Bruno Marc Men’s Brogue Wingtip Oxfords added another layer of versatility.

These bring more detail, more presence, but still maintain that same comfort-driven design. The leather feels soft from the start, which means no break-in period, something that is almost unheard of with shoes like this.

They are ideal for those moments when the outfit calls for something more elevated, but the night is still going to involve walking, standing, and actually enjoying yourself.

Then there was a completely different category, the Bruno Marc Men’s Non Slip Work Shoes.

These are not just for work, they are for real life. Days that are busy, unpredictable, and require something reliable. Lightweight, breathable, and built for long hours, they handle the kind of movement most shoes are not designed for.

They also bring a clean, simple look that fits into casual summer outfits, making them more versatile than expected.

Finally, the Bruno Marc Men’s Arch Support Casual Slip on Loafers rounded everything out.

These are the definition of easy. Slip on, go, and do not think about it again. The wide toe box gives your feet room to move naturally, which makes a difference on longer days.

They are also incredibly lightweight, which is perfect for summer. Paired with casual outfits, they bring that relaxed, effortless feel that defines the season.

By the end of the trip, one thing was clear. Summer style for men is not about having more options, it is about having the right ones. Shoes that move between moments, adapt to different plans, and still feel good at the end of the day.

Because when the shoes are right, everything else just works.

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
