In life there are good surprises and bad surprises. I think it all depends on how you build the suspense leading up to the surprise. I remember when my wife surprised me with an engagement present. She is definitely the queen of surprises and here is how she both ruined and made my day (or week). It all began as a normal work week with me hanging out at work with my coworkers. Little did I know one of my best friends was plotting with my soon-to-be wife & was going to play an intricate part of this spectacular deception! He told me how he was going to get a motorcycle and was asking my opinion on what to get. We spent a considerable amount of time researching the different models that would fit “his needs”. I had built the bike I would want and showed it to him. Little did I know he was feeding all of this information to my soon-to-be wife!
After I had given him my opinion on what he should get and showed him the bike I wanted, the ruining part began. I had talked about getting another motorcycle forever & he knew that I was close to getting one anyway. So he decided to tell me that he had purchased the bike I was planning to buy. Not just the same bike but the exact paint job that I wanted! So this went on for about a week.

Days later, my soon-to-be wife told me she had a surprise for me & I had to be blindfolded while riding in the car to go get it. I was thinking that she was taking me to pick out a dog or something like that. After she drove me around for about 15 minutes to make sure I had no idea where I was, we finally arrived at our destination. I was instructed to stay in the vehicle until released (I was her hostage at this point).
Next thing I knew she helped me out of the vehicle and we walked a short way then stopped. I heard a rooster crow in the distance and thought we were at some type of farm etc. Then she took off my blind fold and sitting in front of me was a brand new 2006 Honda CBR 600RR in Orange Tribal! I must say I almost had a heart attack! Not to mention that all of my friends etc. were there! Including the one that teased me saying he bought that exact bike. When I realized that he had laid the tracks for this whole train ride, needless to say I wasn’t upset with him anymore!
In the end she had made it a terrible day at work (with the help of my teasing, conspiring, spectacular friends) but all said and done it was one of the greatest surprises of my life! Again she is the queen of surprise!
