Road trips are a great way to travel! You get to travel at your own pace, you always have a car at your disposal, and you will find adventure around every bend. When you go on a road trip, there are a few must haves in a car! We recently flew to Florida and we were given a 2016 Toyota Rav4 to use for the week!
Looking at the Toyota Rav4 could be deceiving. At first glance it’s sleek style and sporty look will make you think of crammed space. Once you open the doors and have a seat, you’ll find plenty of space with legroom for all 5 passengers. The hatchback opens easily with enough room for all day shopping or everything you need for a complete beach day!
We picked up a couple friends so they could test the comfortability of riding in the backseat. The were able to chill out and lay back with plenty of room!
It’s also important that your gas goes a long way. We drove both on the highway and along the scenic routes and got about 28 mpg.
Families traveling with carseats can struggle for room in the backseat. Putting a carseat in can be a real pain in the neck. It probably takes me the longest to get my grandson’s in but the Rav4 received top of the class for car seat installation (see below)
RAV4 ‘Top of the Class’ for Car Seat Installation, According to Cars.com
Cars.com has named the 2016 Toyota RAV4 to its Car Seat Honor Roll. RAV4 is one of only six vehicles, out of 84 model-year 2016 and 2017 vehicles tested, to receive this distinction. According to Cars.com, the RAV4 earned a perfect score in each category of the test, which was performed by certified child passenger safety technicians using an infant seat, convertible seat and booster seat. Cars.com says that “when it comes to car seats, the RAV4 is at the top of the class,” praising a large backseat to accommodate rear-facing baby seats.
The all wheel drive Rav4 sells for $24,350-$32,910!
