DROUHIN LAUNCHED THE “NEW LAFORET” WORLDWIDE:
New wine, new package, and a chance to win $5,000! Maison Joseph Drouhin from Burgundy, France, launched two of its signature wines, Laforet Chardonnay and Laforet Pinot Noir, and I wanted to let you know about two exciting must-do’s!
The wine, which is fresher and more fruit driven in style, speaks to a younger consumer who is looking for an uncomplicated yet refined wine that delivers tremendous quality for its price. After having one a couple glasses of wine with my daughter, we decided this is one of our favorites. Enjoyable for me but priced right for her!

About Maison Joseph Drouhin:
Maison Joseph Drouhin is a family-owned winery founded in 1880 in Beaune, France. Since its inception, the House style has been a celebration of elegance and finesse, as well as a tribute to the great region of Burgundy and its world-renowned local varietals: Chardonnay and Pinot Noir.
Today, the House is run by the fourth generation of Drouhins, with each playing a different role in the company equation. Philippe, the eldest, is responsible for the vineyards. Since joining the house in 1988, he has introduced biological and biodynamic viticultural practices throughout the properties which have put the company at the forefront of winemaking innovation. Veronique, the second eldest, is considered the “guardian” of the Joseph Drouhin style, supervising the wine making process as well as tracking the development of existing wines through daily tastings. Laurent, the next in line, is export director for the United States, where his inherent charm and enthusiasm for wines make him an effective brand ambassador in the family’s largest export market. Last but not least is Frederic Drouhin, who despite being the youngest of the four siblings is the President of the company and responsible for development and strategy. Together, they aim to continue the great tradition of winemaking that was begun over 130 years ago.
