Everyone loves a good drink on a Saturday night. As a 24 year old girl out of college I am learning that cheaper is not always better, quality of the liquor matters, and a batch of wonderful drinks at night doesn’t have to end up with a nasty hangover in the morning.
This girl loves her tequila (in moderation of course) and I have tried quite a few different brands. I have found my new favorite in Pura Vida Tequila. This tequila is super smooth and has a sweetness that doesn’t leave you gasping for air after a swig. Pura Vida knows that the best tequila uses the cleanest, clearest, freshest water to keep their tequila light with a clean finish.
There are a ton of recipes you can try with all the different tequilas made by Pura Vida. The recipe I first tried is listed below…
Sully Smash
INGREDIENTS:
- 1 ½ oz Pura Vida Añejo Tequila
- ½ oz NARANJA Orange Liqueur
- ½ oz Pura Vida Organic Agave Nectar
- ½ oz Fresh Lemon Juice
DIRECTIONS:
Combine all ingredients in a shaker with cubed ice. Shake to chill and combine. Strain into a highball glass packed with crushed ice. Garnish with a mint sprig.
I did not use a professional shaker, just two cups with ice. Also, I did not have a mint sprig. Even without the fancy additions the Sully Smash was smooth, tasty and refreshing. I can’t wait to break this out once the summer parties start happening.
