There Are So Many Reasons to Take Care of Your Eyes!
Did you know seeing is such a big part of everyday life that it requires about half of our brain to get involved? We often take for granted how much we rely on our site to function each day, and how our visual perception allows us to take in all the beauty that surrounds us, like an unforgettable sunset! Who wants to miss that? Eye exams are also very helpful in detecting early signs of diseases, like diabetes and high blood pressure, by examining the blood vessels in the eyes. Early detection means you will see many more sunsets over your lifetime! And, “According to CDC”, 80% of vision problems worldwide are avoidable, or even curable, but you may not know that you have an issue unless you get an eye exam.
This is why it’s important to proactively take care of our eyes. But, there are many people who don’t have vision coverage for the following reasons:

Thank you so much for sharing this! Both my husband and I are self-employed, so we don’t have insurance provided from any source. We need to add eye insurance to our health coverage.

My wife and I need to get vision insurance. We have healthcare insurance, but that obviously doesn’t cover the old peepers.

This is great to know since we may lose our regular coverage soon, and I need coverage for myself in this regard! Thanks for this information!

We surly do rely on vision to get us through most of the day, so taking care of our eyes should be a top priority. This sounds like an excellent way to get the coverage one needs to keep their eyes healthy.

It really does help to be covered for this stuff. We can’t function without our eyewear and we need our checkups too.

Vision is so important and it can be pretty hard to keep your eye health up without regular check-ups. This is a good alternative for people who can’t get coverage through their employer but still neee vision insurance.

I just recently found out that I had to get glasses. It was SO much money!

Great info, I wish hearing and vision insurance were offered to everyone. Seems like both get forgotten with most benefit packages.

This is great info. It’s so important to have quality coverage on just about everything, but I find eyes to be SO important!

Good savings on the plans makes a difference. The expenses come around annually if not more, always, and they’re never cheap.

I have never thought about insurance for my eyes. It’s really important that we take good care of our vision and that we do everything we can to preserve it. I think this is good information.

Thanks for reminding me to take a look at our health insurance. I am pretty sure we don’t have vision coverage. I think the VSP vision plan would work well for me and for $17 a month, that is definitely a good deal.
