“Boy bands” may have officially been coined a term in the 1990’s, but lets face it they were around LONG before New Kids on the Block and New Edition. The Beatles and The Monkees had the same screaming (teenage girl) fans as N’SYNC, Backstreet Boys, and 98 Degrees. As with each new generation, comes a new set of young hotties with voices that make you want to dance with your girlfriends and mark your “favorite” guy.
Unless you live under a rock, you know the biggest band out there right now is One Direction. Niall, Zayn, Liam, Louis, and Harry have made their way into the bedroom of teenage and 20 something girls all over the world. And as most things have changed with the new age technology of this generation, the boys were formed on a reality tv show called the X-Factor (and came in third place!). If you didn’t get to see the boys’ journey through the X Factor, you can see clips and get caught up with their new movie One Direction: This is Us. 1D3D
One Direction: This is Us takes you through the lives of each of the five boys and shows you how they soared into SuperStars!
The Interview
What advice did your mom give you?
Mom would say do your best,
Mom always thought I was the best at everything
Every boy should say this:
We’re mommy’s boys
What was your favorite time during the filming?
We got a few days off in Miami- did fishing on a boat, it was very nice
How was it to watch your parents and family in the film?
We felt guilty and hard to watch yet nice to watch to see that side, to hear their view, which is something you don’t get to hear
What advice would you give moms who have kids who want to go into the music business?
Encourage your children that if you want it hard enough to give it a go! Although I don’t feel mature to give parents advice.
How did you give back?
We used to fill a shoe box at school with old toys and give it to charity
What’s on your ipod?
I love Rap,
Rap,
acoustic, chill
The boys were so open and sitting there listening to them, you knew they were your average teenage boys. They didn’t let the stardom go to their heads and they know they have a lot of teens looking up to them and they need to be an example. Maybe these boys aren’t average, they’re very smart and understand their responsibility.
We try to be ourselves, there’s so many things telling people to do other things, we need to not put stupid stuff on tweets we have a younger audience
A mom goes overboard:
There was a woman who was a mom who gave me her number. Sometimes a mom will say call me and the daughter will be embarrassed.
Regular boy stuff:
It’s always fun to sit around and play songs. That’s what we do, we love sitting around jamming.
Best thing about being home!
In down time, the best time about having time off is not having to set an alarm. You appreciate the things you didn’t before like spending time with your family, I love to go to gigs and hanging out with friends.
Sunday dinner!
Was it stressful while filming?
The whole point of the film was to have the cameras film the day and not act for the film so we didn’t really get stressed during the film it.
We became good friends with ben winston the producer so it was – we gave all access and be as normal as possible and hope it looks good in the end.
