When you buy a house, it seems like it takes years for you to complete all your projects. You envision your decor new and trendy. Our kids are grown and after many talks, we decided to get another dog (Our Lexi had passed about four years ago). When you get a puppy, you have to expect accidents (peeing where you don’t want them too) and our puppy was no exception. Although she trained quick there were still a few unwanted piddles on our carpet. This freaked me out because you can clean it and I feel like it will always be there. One of my favorites is the family sitting on the floor and mom (Kelly) squirts chocolate syrup all over the rug. After the segment, we got to hang with Mo and take some pictures. Then it was question time! I was quite skeptic that this “carpet” they’ve been talking about can really clean up as easily as they say from chocolate syrup, dog pee, wine, and anything else you can think of. Call me crazy, but I have seen carpets and rugs need to be tossed after major spills. I was given a sample carpet and of course I went to work on it. First wine & chocolate syrup, then I added a little broken blush and eye shadow (That stuff stains everything) lastly teriyaki sauce. Feeling pretty confident that I can prove them wrong, I went to work to try to clean it with soap and water only. They got me, it worked and I was amazed!

SmartStrand is made from triexta, a permanently stain- and soil-resistant fiber manufactured exclusively by Mohawk.
