The Olympics comes once every four years and it’s one of the most exciting times to watch your favorite sports, favorite athletes, or to support the USA. When I watch, I want to be able to look with ease when a specific sport like swimming or gymnastics is on. I also like to read about teams and stay in the know of where the USA is in medal count. This year Comcast’s X1 platform has gone beyond user friendly, if that’s possible, with it’s voice activated remote. The best part about the voice remote is anyone in the family can use.
As an Xfinity customer already, I know the convenience of the voice remote. I was invited to an event to learn about how I can use the voice remote to make watching the Olympics easier. I was amazed at how easy it was….IS!

With its X1 platform, Comcast has the best TV viewing for the Olympics with the first comprehensive and fully integrated NBC Olympics dashboard on the television, helping people discover every moment of the drama, passion, exhilaration and the glory that is the Olympic Games.
The X1 platform will have 6,000 hours of live, on demand and online streaming content in a way that’s seamless, intuitive and easy to navigate.
- This includes over 1,000 hours of live coverage airing across 9 of NBCUniversal’s broadcast and cable networks, 650 hours of on demand programming and 4,500 hours of NBC Sports Live Extra online streaming content – all in one place.
We can personalize our viewing experience by following featured athletes, teams and nations; search all Olympic content with our voice using the voice remote; and keep up with real-time results, medal counts, advanced data and analytics, schedules and highlights with the sports companion app.
Combined with a host of new and enhanced features available on the X1 platform, Comcast is enabling us to customize and control our Olympics experience to focus on the people, events and moments we care about most.
If you or someone you know are visually or hearing impaired, you can enjoy the games like never before with Xfinity X1 accessibility tools, including the talking guide, the voice remote, closed caption and video description.
I happen to be a pro now, so if you have any questions, reach out on Twitter or Facebook
