Natural Remedies for Scars

February 18, 2022 Rachel Ferrucci

If you have a scar that you want to get rid of you may be wondering if it is even possible. Scars are notoriously hard to remove.

If the wound that causes the scar is healing quickly then the less visible the scar will be. You also need to bear in mind that scars look different on various parts of the body. If you are ready to try some home remedies to help remove your scar here are the ones that you may find the most effective.

Try Vitamin E

You can buy Vitamin E capsules at your local drugstore and cut them in half. You can squeeze the oil inside the capsule over the scar every night before you go to bed.

Depending on the size of the scar you may need to use more than one capsule to get enough Vitamin E to cover the scar. You can massage the oil into the scar to ensure that it covers the entire portion of it.

The oil is not to be kept on the skin, you will need to wash it off once twenty minutes to half an hour has passed. You can do this up to three times a day for a few months. There should be some improvement in your scar by then.

This treatment will work even better for scars left by wounds that have been treated using the solutions provided by a specialist. You can use a dermatology app to find a good provider.

Use Some Honey

Honey is well-known for its antibacterial properties. Every night before you go to bed you can put a small amount of honey on your scar. If you are worried that the honey will rub off you can put a bandage around it to ensure that it doesn’t rub off while you sleep.

Every morning when you wake up you can wash off the honey from this scar. You can keep doing this as part of your nightly routine.

Consider Apple Cider Vinegar

This is another great remedy for scars. All you have to do is mix some water and the vinegar together.

You can then use a cotton ball to apply the apple cider vinegar to the scar. Depending on the shape of the scar you may want to try using a cotton swab if that gives you better access to smaller scars.

You should let the apple cider remain on the scar until it dries. In the morning you can then wash it off.

As you can see if you want treatment for scars there are a lot of home remedies that are available. The home remedies above have proven to be effective for many people’s scars.

If you find that one method is not working for you, you may want to try out other methods to see if one of them will work. Whichever method you try, you need to ensure that you are consistent with it.

Consistency is the key when you are using home remedies on scars. The more consistent you are and the more patient, the higher the likelihood that one of these home remedies will help to remove your scar or significantly decrease its appearance.

I didn’t realize how much poor sleep was affecting my trips… until I fixed it.

Waking up tired, adjusting to new places, different beds, time zones… it adds up fast.

Traveling with the AirMini changed that for me. It’s compact, simple, and makes it easy to stay consistent no matter where I am.

Now I actually feel like I’m experiencing my trips, not just getting through them.

Check it out at the link in my bio.

#ad No one tells you that your skin doesn’t just “age”… it changes.

Dryness, dullness, fine lines, that crepey texture… it’s not just time. It’s hormonal.

I kept layering on creams thinking I just needed something “better,” but nothing was actually addressing what was going on underneath.

M4 from @myalloy is different. It’s prescription skincare made specifically for hormonal skin, using topical estriol to help restore collagen, hydration, and elasticity right where your skin needs it.

It doesn’t enter your bloodstream. It works at the skin level. And honestly… it just makes sense.
