Mature Themes! How To Look Trendy As A Dad

October 22, 2019 Rachel Ferrucci

When you think about being a parent, in a stylistic sense, you end up thinking that you need to look professional, or mature, never trendy. And while there’s a certain perception of being a dad, aesthetically, are there any ways for you to look like you are rocking the dad look? Let’s see if we can get to the bottom of it.

A Talking Piece

While we can tend to lean on the stereotype of giving up our personal style when we become a parent, what we can do is ensure that we have a little talking peace so we can exude some semblance of style, even if we are covered in bits of baby puke! A very simple approach would be to utilize something like sunglasses or a watch. If you’re in the money, a used Rolex Submariner can be that talking point, which serves to be a very handy distraction especially when you’re out in public, trying to placate your baby or toddler.

Suits Are Always In Season

When you think about being that dad who is is mature and forthright, you can never go far wrong with a suit Suits are always in season, but you have got to be careful because when it comes to your age. If you’re trying to rock a suit when you’re 25, be sure that it is tailored to your contours. But in one respect, we may very well avoid the idea of wearing a suit because if it is something quite expensive, we don’t want it to get covered in mess. But think about dressing in less rugged stuff as a general rule. If you don’t want to utilize a whole suit, then you can make the most of a suit jacket, which you can use as a piece to tie your entire wardrobe together.

Think Of A Piece To Tie Your Get-Up Together

Much like a suit jacket, it can cover up a multitude of sins; finding a piece that disguises numerous stains, but also pulls your wardrobe together is hard to find. For many dads, practicality is crucial, but if you want some sort of style, a navy blazer is not just a perfect piece that goes with everything, but it’s an opportunity to exert some matureness. Also, think about the events you’re going to. A jacket is suitable for every opportunity, but also, if if you’re really trying to put forward that idea of a grown mature father, think about the right pair of shoes. Brogues or boots aren’t always practical, but in a stylistic sense, they cover up a lot of sins.

Stylistically, this is where you can really come into your own. Rather than trying to make yourself look younger, you can embrace your age, stop disguising those gray hairs, and bring them to the forefront. The great thing is that, as we get older, we tend to start or growing into ourselves. Looking trendy and being a dad may seem like two polar opposite terms, but it’s something that can be done.

I didn’t realize how much poor sleep was affecting my trips… until I fixed it.

Waking up tired, adjusting to new places, different beds, time zones… it adds up fast.

Traveling with the AirMini changed that for me. It’s compact, simple, and makes it easy to stay consistent no matter where I am.

Now I actually feel like I’m experiencing my trips, not just getting through them.

Check it out at the link in my bio.

#ad No one tells you that your skin doesn’t just “age”… it changes.

Dryness, dullness, fine lines, that crepey texture… it’s not just time. It’s hormonal.

I kept layering on creams thinking I just needed something “better,” but nothing was actually addressing what was going on underneath.

M4 from @myalloy is different. It’s prescription skincare made specifically for hormonal skin, using topical estriol to help restore collagen, hydration, and elasticity right where your skin needs it.

It doesn’t enter your bloodstream. It works at the skin level. And honestly… it just makes sense.
