Marathon season is here! (At least I think so.) I am super excited for all the races coming up: Hamptons Marathon, Staten Island Half, NYC 60K, possibly the Stone Cat 50miler, and last but certainly not least, the NYC MIDNIGHT RUN!! I thought I’d put a list together of a couple of my marathon must haves.
Marathon Must Haves
1. Juno Sports Bra by Moving Comfort– OMG! This big daddy of sports bras is my best friend. It is basically a boulder holder for my babies. I honestly don’t think I can run long distances without it. Other than getting new running shoes, this is a must for me. I’m into high-impact sports: running, triathalons, plyometric training with lots of jumping. You name it, I do it. I’ve gone through so many bras in the past few years, looking for ones that hold the girls down, yet keep them looking something like boobs and not pancakes. This bra is the closest I’ve come to a “perfect” bra, in terms of good compression and encapsulation. Thanks #athleta for making shopping easier for me!
2. Nathan Vaporshape Hydration Vest – I like that it is light weight and breathable. It provides storage and hydration on the go. I love that it moves with your body movements to reduce wasted energy. I like to use hand held water bottles too as well as the hydration belts but I’m really enjoy not having to think about the hydration stations.
3. Purium Health Products – Wow. Kiss away all those old gastrointestinal issues troubles. These products are getting me through all my training runs and I am feeling stronger and recovering more quickly. They give you so much energy and stamina to keep going. As soon as you feel like you’re losing endurance, pop a #bee energetic or #revive it all and you’re on your way. All organic, vegan and non-GMO. I am running my first marathon this season and will be trying a combo of the super food shake with activated barley. I am going to TRY IT OUT on RACE DAY so I will let you know how it goes. I couldn’t train without these products!!
4. KT Tape – When not wearing a compression sleeve, this is good to wrap your knees with. Make sure to read up about how to apply it. I used KT tape during my first marathon and it helped alleviate the pain in my knees. This is also personal preference when choosing to wear a compression sleeve or tape. Both work great.
5.Newton Running Motion – Boy! do I love these running shoes. I hit a home run with these beauties. #newtonrunning They are responsive, lightweight and stable. They are well suited for daily training, long runs, speed work or even racing.
What’s on your marathon must have list? Do you have any runs coming up?

Your running shoes look wonderful – well-worn and comfortable. I also love the idea of the Purium Health Products and want to check those out! I don’t have a run coming up but my goal is a half-marathon. Good luck on yours!

I am not a runner, would love to be but a broken leg as a child that didn’t heal properly has kept me from more than one thing I would love to do. On a positive note, I totally admire those that are faithful enough to run marathons! I hope you have great success in your runs!

I always talk about running, but a marathoner I am not. I am trying to get more fit though.
