Let’s face it – looking good should be the last thing on your mind when you exercise. After all, working out is all about pushing your body to the limit. Still, everyone wants to keep up appearances whether you go for a run or hit the gym. You just can’t help the fact that you don’t want to look like a mess in front of total strangers. Even worse, someone might recognize you! Thankfully, there are ways to maintain your appearance without sacrificing commitment. Below is everything you need to know about working out and looking good.

 

Wear Breathable Materials

 

If the idea of sweating to the point of evaporation fills you with dread, clothes with breathable materials are your best friend. The materials work by allowing the outfit to breathe, so there is no need for sweat patches. The water just evaporates into the air, and no one is any the wiser. Plus, the lack of sweat will also keep you from feeling clammy and prevent overheating. Pretty much every decent sports store has workout clothes which fit the bill, so they aren’t hard to find. If you’re unsure, check the tag and ask an assistant.

 

Put On Deodorant

 

The idea of putting on deodorant before exercise isn’t completely bonkers. For one thing, there is no way you will smell while you’re on the treadmill. Come on – nobody wants to have to deal with body odor. More importantly, it stops the patches of sweat from showing through your clothes. Treatments like MiraDry show a big reduction in sweat in recent studies, which is one way to look the part. Although it isn’t a deodorant, certain sprays also have the same effect. All you have to do is figure out which ones work best for your body.

 

Opt For A Tailored Bra

 

Every woman knows what it’s like to exercise without a sports bra. Just ask the ones that are surrounded by a crowd of guys in the gym! Of course, no one wants to be the night’s entertainment, which is where a sports bra comes in handy. Firstly, it keeps everything compact and in the right place so there is no need to draw attention. And, it also has a medical advantage. Wearing the wrong bra can cause complications such as back problems and misshapen breasts. A sports one with proper padding will take the brunt of the pressure so that you only have to concentrate on your workout regime.

 

Accessorize

 

Okay, so you’re not going to wear your favorite bracelet and necklace combo. Still, that doesn’t mean you can’t offset your look with a few handy accessories. A water bottle isn’t only practical, but it makes you appear like you’re a pro. The same goes for a trendy towel or rag that you use during exercise. A tip: the more color the better. Working out isn’t easy, but a variety of vivid colors can give you the necessary kick up the backside.

 

As you can see, it isn’t hard to look and feel good when you hit the gym.

When I found out I needed surgery, my 1st thought wasn’t the procedure. It was the fear of being handed opioids again with no real choice.
