The most important part of the wedding is the ceremony so we started there.
We knew it would be the focus of many of the pictures so we wanted the background picture perfect.
My husband was tasked with making the arbor. He got lucky because a friend happened to have one from his daughter’s wedding. My husband only needed to stain it in Walnut to match the rest of the decor. A large 6 foot macrame hanging was made for my daughter to hang on the back of the arbor. For flowers, we ordered from Ling’s and my two daughter’s, their godmother (my bff), and I decorated it with the gorgeous flowers. We also picked up artificial flowers from Joann’s and Hobby Lobby. You would be surprised how many flowers you need to make it full so we bought a lot of ferns to fill it. I got a beautiful bohemian rug with a from Eyely for the base. The rug brought it all together making the space intimate. The final touches were a couple lanterns in different sizes at the base of the arbor.
The Boho and vintage pieces gave it a fairy tale feel.
The space was absolutely beautiful and the prices were great. The left over flowers we were able to create a bouquet and we also got two other rugs that would serve as the dance floor (another post to come).
