My mother always taught me to be very careful when preparing & cooking chicken. She warned me so much that I became, what some might say (but not me) a little neurotic! Making sure that everything was cleaned properly and then cooked long enough to make sure there isn’t any chance of eating undercooked chicken. My son-in-law (who I absolutely adore) after nearly a decade of eating my chicken without saying a word finally told me it was overcooked. I guess it took him that long to become comfortable enough to say something to a Italian woman about her cooking! Then he began joking about it all the time. If I asked them to come over for dinner he would tell my husband “just don’t let Rachel cook the Chicken”. I, of course, told him he was crazy and that my chicken was not overcooked!
Then one day I got the Phillips Air Fryer to review! I was excited but not nearly as much as him! He actually told me that now I will be able to cook chicken the way it is supposed to be cooked. Which I call B.S. because the chicken I made was always delicious! So I decided to give it a shot one night & I made sure he was there to be the first to try it. I carefully prepared the chicken and dropped it into the basket.
I couldn’t believe that the instructions were telling me to cook at 390 degrees for only 11 minutes. I have been cooking chicken in the oven for 45 minutes at 375 degrees my whole life! Eleven minutes went by and we pulled out the basket. Of course I wasn’t going to try it first so I gave him a piece. He took one bite and his eyes lit up saying “now this is how chicken is supposed to be.” So I gave it a shot and it was incredible! Crispy on the outside, so tender & juicy on the inside that it almost melted in my mouth (don’t tell him but maybe sometimes my chicken was a little dry)!
I can’t tell you how much we love this. After I was done with the chicken I decided to make potato crochettes too. These babies were dee lish! Especially with the hollandaise sauce I made to top them with!
The Phillips Air Fryer makes it so easy and fast to cook chicken. You can literally cook for the entire family in half the time it used to take. Not to mention clean up is really easy too, you just rinse out the basket and pan then you can throw them in the dishwasher!
You can even buy accessories to use your Air Fryer for so much more than just cooking chicken!
