Bindi Irwin’s Engagement Ring
A headline 6 years in the making, Bindi Irwin and longtime boyfriend, Chandler Powell, got engaged on July 24th, 2019. The Australian television personality and conservationist got an extra special present on her 21st birthday, as Powell proposed with a stunning oval cut engagement ring.
Irwin tweeted, “On my birthday I said ‘yes’ & ‘forever’ to the love of my life. Chandler, close to 6 years ago I fell in love with you & every day since has been a whirlwind of adventure & true happiness. Here’s to a lifetime of friendship, purpose & unconditional love❤️” on the special day.
About The Ring
In an interview with PEOPLE magazine, Irwin told reporters that the ring is, “made from recycled rose gold and the gem is a lab grown 2.01-carat diamond. I love that its twisted band is nature inspired and scattered with diamonds. I have always dreamed of a vintage style ring as I’m quite traditional.”
Although Irwin pegs herself as a traditionalist, there are a few features of this ring that are extremely new-age and modern.
