Helping Your Dog Lead A Happy Life

May 16, 2021 Rachel Ferrucci

Owning a dog can be such an inspiring and enjoyable experience, but it’s a big responsibility that takes considerable time and effort. Learning how to help your dog to lead a happy life needn’t be difficult, as there are just a few key areas in which you can focus your energy to ensure they can be comfortable and content for as long as possible. So, if you would like to find out more, then simply read on to uncover some of the best tips and tricks that you can make the most of today!

Find The Right Food

Finding the right food for your dog will contribute massively to their overall well-being, so it’s vital that you can take some time to source the most suitable formula so that your dog can thrive. Reaching for the cheapest tinned food that the grocery store has to offer is bound to lead to problems, as they’re often made from the lowest quality ingredients whilst providing little nutritional benefit whatsoever. Instead, it’s far better to visit a dedicated pet store that stocks many different brands of dog food for you to choose between. You can find dog food for sensitive skin, allergies, specific breeds and sizes, and so much more, so finding the right match for your pup can really change their life.

Stay On Top Of Grooming

Staying on top of grooming should be your next port of call, as your dog needs regular bathing, brushing and more to remain clean and healthy. Different breeds have different grooming requirements, so you should do a little research online or ask your local vet for advice on how to best maintain your dog’s coat. Long haired breeds may require weekly bathing and brushing to reduce tangles and knots, whilst short haired breeds only need to get bathed once a month when living mainly indoors. You should also utilise some kind of chewable dental treat or toothbrush to keep their teeth clean and keep tartar build up to a minimum.

Socialisation Is Key

Making sure that your dog can socialise with other pups is essential for their state of mind and behaviour, as they will use such an opportunity to blow off steam and learn boundaries by copying other dogs. You must socialise your dog from an early age with other older pups that have gentle temperaments, as this will reduce the chances of them developing any kind of aggression or shyness that can affect their quality of life. Head to an enclosed dog park or meet up with a dog-owning friend as often as you can!

Helping your dog to lead a happy life has never been so simple when you can take the time to make the most of the brilliant tips and tricks that have been carefully detailed above. From the food that they eat to their grooming routine and socialisation opportunities, the responsibility is on you to provide them with the resources that they need to thrive.

I didn’t realize how much poor sleep was affecting my trips… until I fixed it.

Waking up tired, adjusting to new places, different beds, time zones… it adds up fast.

Traveling with the AirMini changed that for me. It’s compact, simple, and makes it easy to stay consistent no matter where I am.

Now I actually feel like I’m experiencing my trips, not just getting through them.

Check it out at the link in my bio.

#ad No one tells you that your skin doesn’t just “age”… it changes.

Dryness, dullness, fine lines, that crepey texture… it’s not just time. It’s hormonal.

I kept layering on creams thinking I just needed something “better,” but nothing was actually addressing what was going on underneath.

M4 from @myalloy is different. It’s prescription skincare made specifically for hormonal skin, using topical estriol to help restore collagen, hydration, and elasticity right where your skin needs it.

It doesn’t enter your bloodstream. It works at the skin level. And honestly… it just makes sense.
