We partnered with Fiber One and Acorn Influence to bring you this articleWhen traveling I normally miss meals and wind up eating junk food to tide me over. Although I try to eat healthy, I feel like most “healthy” food doesn’t satisfy my need for sweet. Eating junk food often leaves me feeling sluggish when I finally get to my destination. I also have to deal with the guilt of pigging out and knowing my past week of eating great has just been shot. I have found the snack that fits perfect in my purse and perfect with my lifestyle. Fiber One bars surprised me with their great taste and variety. They also have 25% less sugar than before which saves me from that sugar high at 30,000 feet. They also are free of artificial flavors and colors. I now head to Costco and stock up on my guilt-free, go-to snack! Costco makes it easy to stock up and at a great price.
Tips on how to save yourself from feeling tired when traveling.
- Eat before you leave your house. I usually fly in the morning, so I make sure to have breakfast.
- Get a good night sleep
- Pack your Fiber One snacks- I have some in my suitcase and some in my purse.
- Stay hydrated- Carry a refillable water bottle. Drink plenty on your drive to the airport and once you get trough security, fill it back up.
- If traveling during wee hours, try to sleep on the plane and when you wake, eat your Fiber One bar and drink your water.
Follow these tips and arrive at your destination refreshed and ready to go.
I was just on a trip and indulged in my Fiber One Lemon Bars (A delicious combination of a soft moist texture, a refreshing tart and tangy lemon flavor, and a luscious drizzled topping) and Fiber One Oats & Chocolate Bars (Rich chocolate chips and hearty oats that tastes more like a candy bar) I was satisfied with my chocolate cravings and the lemon bar was wonderful for the mornings! The best part is you don’t feel like you’re eating “fiber”. They really are “So delicious, it should have another name.”
