When it comes to cleaning, I would rather do anything else. There are a few times when I want to dig into everything and clean it head to toe but those days are few and far a part. My ideal cleaning day would be me at the spa while someone else cleaned my house. Truthfully, I can’t complain too much because my husband pitches in and does most of the daily cleaning. We have the luxury of having the P&G products available at a Costco near us and at a discounted price.
I can’t just start cleaning, I have to get in the mood. To do this, I have a method.
Music! I need good cleaning music. I have a few CD’s (yes I still use those) that get my hips swinging, body moving, and lips singing. While I’m warming up, I get my gear ready. That would be my cleaning gear.
Let’s get to it!
Get it done right but make it easy! This is common sense. Thankfully there are many products that have made cleaning super easy on our part. You still need to use elbow grease but it takes a quarter of the time.
I never clean without My Guy! We’re not talking about The Sicilian, we’re talking about Mr. Clean! The Mr. Clean Magic Eraser is probably the single greatest invention for cleaning. I use this everywhere. Here are a few places you may not think to use it but it works great:
- Light Switches- You wouldn’t believe the dirt it takes off, your switches will look like new.
- Light globes- As I’m rinsing the dust off, the Magic Eraser takes off the dirt easily.
- Doorways and walls- Our hands makes fingerprints all over doorways and walls by light switches and walkways. Two seconds it’s clean and you will notice the color of your paint was way off.
- Sinks and Tubs- You probably already do this but our kitchen and bathrooms have their very own.
- Refrigerator- I used to scrub my refrigerator and the Magic Eraser makes this job so much easier!
Sometimes I cheat! When friends are coming over last minute and I don’t have time to do a full clean. We run the vacuum, wash the dishes, and pick up “stuff” that’s laying around. Here’s the cheating part. I spray my house with Febreze Air Effects!
I don’t wash my rags! Because I don’t use them, I use BountyAdvanced paper towels for everything! The uses for Bounty Advanced is endless but when it comes to cleaning, they’re strong, durable, and all the germs are thrown away with them. When cleaning a roll of Bounty Advanced is at my side at all times. I especially love them when I’m doing the toilet.
Here’s a few other ways you can use these bad boys:
- Strain grease from top of broth, tuna
- Wrap your lettuce in it and place in baggie, it will stay fresh a lot longer
- Clean can opener
- Cook bacon in the microwave
- Keep pans scratch free- I place one paper towel in between my pots and pans
- Coffee filter
- Microwave cover
- Strainer- I use this to strain my ricotta. You can also use to strain sour cream
- Fried foods – I place the food on a paper towel to absorb the grease! Every Sunday you’ll see a bowl with Bounty Advanced in it filled with the meatballs!
- In the bathroom- I already told you about the toilet. I scheve the germs in the bathroom and the Bounty Advanced is thick enough so it doesn’t rip while cleaning and the nastiness stay on the paper towel and doesn’t get on my hands!
There are many more P&G products that I use everyday and couldn’t live without. It’s the little details in P&G Household Needs products that make them different from other brands.
What are your favorite products and what do you use them for?
