Football fans sleep, live, and breathe football once the season starts in hopes that their team makes it to the “Big Game”, The Super Bowl. They watch their team each week, coaching from their living room, screaming, yelling, cheering, and praying they will out score the opponent. You’ll hear them calling each play, yelling to the refs, who missed the holding, and talking back to the announcers.
They have rituals; where they sit, which jersey should be worn for home and away games, and some need to watch the game by themselves because they can’t be around others. Then there’s trash talk which social networking sites, such as Twitter and Facebook, have made it easier to tweet or post on your buddies wall how much their team sucks!
These fans are Serious and don’t try to change their rituals or you’ll be banned during football season. They go through this for months- for one thing- The Super Bowl- Your bragging rights start here. The Super Bowl brings out football fans and non football fans. Everyone picks a team whether they know football or not. This is an excuse to have a party for some and for fans to celebrate your teams victory.
A Super Bowl party is one of the easiest no-frills parties you can have. It’s about the game, not the party. These parties call for dude food or tailgate food. Items you can easy grab and eat during a commercial or between plays.
Purchase football or Super Bowl decorations. Plates, cups, napkins, football bowls, etc. at places like Party City.
1. Buffalo Chicken with some celery and blue cheese or ranch dressing. A quick and easy recipe is 1 bottle Frank’s Red Hot mixed with 1 bottle of Archie Moore’s Buffalo Sauce (If you don’t have Archie Moore’s – Buffalo Wings Wings Sauce will do). Fry or bake your wings and then toss in buffalo sauce. Easy!
2.Tostitos and Salsa – No recipe needed just a bowl.
3. Nachos- Lay Tostitos on large plate, cover with lots of mixed shredded cheese, olives and jalapenos. Make another layer and toss in microwave until cheese is melted. You can also add chili or beans if you prefer. I also serve sour cream on the side.
4. Pizza – Call – Order- Get Delivered!
5. Beer! The beverage of choice is usually beer, no girly or fruity drinks should be served at a Super Bowl party!
