I am not one who is good with routines. I struggled with beauty routines since in my twenties. At that age I didn’t see an urgency since I had young skin and I really didn’t have the time. If only I could turn back time! I did however, preach about it to everyone, telling them the short and long term benefits. Considering I was a cosmetologist, you would think I would practice what I preached. Once I entered into my thirties I knew I had to start somewhere and creating a moisturizing routine was my first step. As you get older you feel your skin tighten as the moisture is sucked into the vortex of old age.
I was introduced to Aveeno Positively Radiant moisturizer and it won me over within a week. It absorbed into my skin without it feeling greasy and left my skin feeling soft and ready to apply my makeup.
- It has an SPF, so it gives protection from the sun all year long
- It helps to even out your tone
- The pump locks which makes it easy to throw in my bag when traveling
- A small amount covers my whole face (about a pea size)
- Great price point (I buy a package of two at BJ’s Wholesale Club)
I now have a moisturizing routine that is easy for me. I use it in the morning before applying makeup and at night before bed. I will tell you I’ve been trying some eye night creams and will let you know when I find the perfect one!
If you don’t include moisturizer in your routine, today is the day to start. Find the moisturizer that works well for your skin and stick to it!
Do you have a morning and night routine? How long have you had it?
