It’s so easy to go into work not caring about what you look like. These people are possibly people you’re never going to socialise with outside of work. So if you go in with unbrushed hair, no makeup on, and the baggiest cardigan on you can find, it really doesn’t bother you. But what other people make of your image really should. It defines who you are as a person. So stop going into work looking like you’ve just rolled out of bed, and stun your co workers with a completely new design. Who knows, you might catch the eye of someone who fancies you! Here’s a few little tips to give yourself an office wear makeover.
Face:
Putting makeup on, when you’ve just rolled out of bed 15 minutes before you’re due to start work is impossible. You end up leaving it so you can throw anything on and run out the door. But everyone knows makeup is a saviour. Kiss goodbye to those bags under your eyes. Say hello to bright, open, beautiful eyes. Start by curling your eyelashes, and adding a couple of layers of mascara. Instantly your eyes will pop. The place some concealer under your eyes, just above the cheekbone, to get rid of those bags. Spot some foundations all over the face and blend in. Make sure it’s all rubbed in around the hairline, and jawline to prevent any orange lines building. Then fill in your eyebrows a little, not too heavy, to define the shape of your face a little. Add a dab of highlighter to each cheek bone, and some bronzer just below, make sure you blend nicely. Finish off with some lip gloss, either coloured or not, and you’re completely transformed. To add a little sense of class, look to get a pair of designer eyeglasses if you wear glasses. There’s so many shapes and sizes to compliment the shape of your face, and it’ll definitely make you look more sophisticated.
Outfit
Once everyone has stopped staring at your face, they’ll move on to notice your outfit. Throw away any super long cardigans, or outdated to the knee skirts. Add a little style to your office routine. Everyone loves a good shop, so head down to your local mall. Look to buy sophisticated blouses. Don’t go for anything long sleeved. Purchase a few smart bodycon dresses to compliment your figure. Stick to darker colors such as blacks, browns, or dark reds to add to the sophistication. Swap out the old flat shoes, for a few pairs of nice new heels. This will help exaggerate the length of your legs, leaving you looking flawless. Finish the look off with a few smart jackets, whether it be leather bomber jackets, or long line coats for the winter season. Use skin colored tights, rather than black to show off your legs. If you’ve chose to only purchase blouses, look to getting either long skinny trousers, or skirts to match. Dressing smart, yet trendy for the office really isn’t as hard as it seems.
