Every night about a half hour after dinner, my three year old makes a mad dash to the bathroom when I ask if he’s ready to take a bath. This is probably one of his most favorite times of the day. We grab different toys (usually his rubber safari animals and aquarium creatures) and throw them in as the tub fills up with water. He is always excited to try new bath toys, so we jumped at the opportunity to use the Tubby Table when it was sent to us.
The Tubby Table is a “table” for the bathtub that uses a suction ring to stand up. The plastic table is heavy enough to stand up in the water and have animals and other bath toys piled on top, however light enough not to hurt the child (as young as 1 year old) if knocked over. The Tubby Table measures 14” (W) x 17”(L) X 8” (H) so theres still plenty of room to have the table plus a kid (or two) in the tub. The table is designed for children as young as 1, but will easily grow with your children. By spinning the table in a counter clockwise direction, it will raise to accommodate taller children.
There are five shape cups on the table numbered 1-5 in various colors. Each shape pops out- leaving a hole that is ideal for our animals to “dive” through. This also gives a perfect opportunity to do a little learning before bed by going over numbers, colors, and shapes. Plus since there are only 5, it isn’t overwhelming. As an added bonus, the table even comes with a non-slip bath mat
My three year old boy really likes to play when hes in the tub, so its almost inevitable there will be a pool of water on the floor by the end of his bath. The Tubby Table gives kids a play surface in the middle of the tub, allowing the water to flow back into the tub instead of all over the bathroom floor. It also allows for siblings to play together and share their toys. This will definitely come in handy when our youngest comes along and is big enough to enjoy bath time with his big brother.
