American Diabetes Association Gift of Hope

We have partnered with American Diabetes Association to bring you this message which is very close to our heart.

Diabetes affects so many people of all ages and it can appear at any time during your life. I have had many family members with diabetes and some have lost their site as well as limbs because of it. It’s a disease that doesn’t get nearly enough attention. Recently, my father in law was diagnosed and when I was asked to join the American Diabetes Association Gift of Hope program, I thought it would be the perfect time to share about the disease and how you can help!

American Diabetes Association Gift of Hope program is an annual Holiday Gift catalog whose funds go to support the mission.

What is this mission?

Funding research to prevent, cure and manage diabetes.
Deliver services to the hundreds of communities that are at high risk of diabetes and pre-diabetes.
Provide objective and credible education and information to those recently diagnosed with diabetes.
Give voice to those denied their rights of because of diabetes.

What is The American Diabetes Gift of Hope Catalog?

It began in 1971 when several Minneapolis-area parents of children with diabetes wanting to do something to fight the disease. They started selling holiday greeting cards to raise money to support the mission. Since then the program has raised more than $26 million. Many of the holiday cards are designed by or dedicated to people with diabetes. Now named the American Diabetes Association Gift of Hope and the program thrives due to the passion of people who care.

The Gifts
