SnowCast App Don’t Be Surprised With Ten Inches

February 12, 2016 Rachel Ferrucci Leave a Comment

This is a sponsored post written by me on behalf of SnowCast for IZEA. All opinions are 100% mine.

Snow! If you live in an area where snow is a part of winter, you know you can’t always depend on the local news to give an accurate forecast fifty percent of the time. It seems our last two storms snuck up on our meteorologists, they couldn’t tell us what to expect in twenty four hours. They should have just said, “Wake up and look out your window!”

I’m a weather buff and I love to know what’s happening now as well as over the course of the day and night. I am glued to the TV to watch the current updates or I’m at my front window determining how hard it’s coming down. I also travel a lot so I need to accuracy to plan if I need to leave early for the airport or if I should throw on my sweats because most likely my flight will be cancelled.

I have been searching for a good weather app that will tell me more than “20% …. 60%” chance of snow. Nothing aggravates me more than when I go to bed expecting one to two inches and I wake up to ten inches. SnowCast app

I was asked to check out the SnowCast app for iOS and agreed after I read, “You will never be surprised by winter weather again. See how many inches of snow will fall in your location now, later in the day or over the next 48 hours.” Sign Me Up!

I uploaded the SnowCast app and to my surprise it was super easy to set up. I added my location by zip code and I was able to move the pin to my exact location. The app immediately showed me what my snowfall expectancy was now (within the next 6 hours) and over the next 48 hours in 6-hour increments. You will also see any NOAA winter weather warnings and advisories and receive notifications to let you know when and how much snow is forecast for your location. SnowCast app

The radar button allows you to look at the radar in 6-hour increments over the next couple days. If you travel and need to check the “snowcast” of your destination, simply change the location in setting and you are now up to date for the next 48 hours. SnowCast app

I may of had too much fun with this app as I started putting many different cities and states to be nosey. The SnowCast app is Winter Weather Tool! SnowCast app

You can check out the app here Download the app and in the future have these questions answered without waiting for your local news to come on. Be your own weather person!

  • Should I shovel the driveway tonight or should I wait until morning?
  • Should I leave work early to beat the snow?
  • Will it snow enough to have a snow day?
  • Should I pack snow gear?
  • Should I leave early to get a jump start?

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
