Flat Fine Hair- Tips & Tricks: The Key to Thicker, Fuller Hair

October 8, 2015 Rachel Ferrucci 22 Comments

When a man loses his hair and starts thinning out on top, he can simply shave his head and he becomes “Mr. Cool”. Women look at their hair as part of their beauty. We use our hair to frame our face and some of us spend hundreds of dollars on coloring and highlights. It can be very stressful when we have hair loss. There can be different reasons for hair loss or thinning hair. If you see signs of major hair loss you should always consult your doctor to make sure it’s not something serious.

If you are experiencing thinning or hair loss due to hereditary hair, although this can seem serious, there is a way to treat it. We are also going to talk about some tips and tricks to thicker, fuller hair.

A few things you should first know!

  • Do not be embarrassed! Thinning hair and hair loss caused by hereditary hair loss is a real, common concern that 1 in 3 women will notice in their lifetime.
  • It’s not uncommon for this to start as early as twentysomething
  • There is now something for women to use to fight the hair loss! We will get into that in a moment.

Tips and Tricks To Fuller Hair

You should let your hair stylist know what is going on and together with him/her you will conquer the thinning hair. Let’s talk about Women’s Rogaine quickly. I’m sure you all know that I have been a cosmetologist for almost 30 years so although this is a Women’s Rogaine campaign, I truly believe in it and what I’m about to tell you as a cosmetologist and hair expert! For years we have seen many options for men including Rogaine. Women now have the ease of using Women’s Rogaine Foam just once a day and see results. You can use it in the morning or in the evening, which ever is easiest for you. Let your stylist know you are using it and talk about color and cuts. Color naturally adds volume to your hair and your colorist can recommend high lights or low lights to create depth. The right cut will also add volume and make hair look fuller.

Fortunately, I have thick hair. I have a friend that has really thin hair and it gets thinner every year. I’ll be sure and tell her about this.

I so agree with you! It is okay for men to loose their hair but not women. This is something so many women struggle with so it is nice to see there is something available that they can get to help alleviate this problem.

I know several women who have experienced thinning hair and they’ve been devastated by it. I also know several people who have been very happy with their results after using Rogaine. Thank you for sharing this fabulous giveaway.

Mu favorite hair tip is dont use super hot water when you wash your hair it really dries your scalp otu and hold off on the blow drying and so many products. I have thinning hair, and have to be super careful to keep what I do have.

My favorite hair tip is to use an old tee shirt to dry your hair; it is gentler than using a towel.

My hair is definitely thinner than I would like it to be due to stress and years of chemical use. And I’m trying to transition to natural hair so that’s making the thinning even more apparent as my relaxed hair sheds off.
