Start A Journey Of Positivity and ReWire Me

Change is scary, change is sometimes hard. Whether it’s a life changing situation or something as simple as changing your routine. Most of us are comfortable with our process of life, however are we really happy? Sometimes we’re so busy making everyone else happy that we forget about ourselves! I have found that most people can write about someone else and make them sound like they’re the CEO of a major company, the Queen of England, or a saint. Ask that same person to write about themselves and they give average statements. We’re taught not to be conceded which some confuse with showing no confidence. We all need to rewire ourselves at different times in our life. Let’s start a journey of positivity and ReWire Me!

I’m a very confident woman in my forties. I will smile for a picture, walk with pride, tell others about my accomplishments (that I’m very proud of) and I will tell you that I love myself. I’ll put on an outfit and feel sexy, or classy, or beautiful. I will walk by a mirror and glance at it and smile. Does this mean I’m conceded? NO, it means that I have confidence and I know that the positive energy radiates off me and makes others smile and laugh. Because I’m so comfortable with myself, I can truly share with others by telling them all the wonderful things about them. I love to give compliments and of course I love to get them. When I tell people I didn’t always feel this way, they’re surprised.

Staying positive is work, you need to remind yourself everyday. Life throws curve balls and obstacles at us all the time and it’s very easy to spiral down and lose our self worth. It’s sometimes hard to fail or difficult to know we can’t help the situation that we’re in. In my many times of spiraling I’ve found that staying positive helps to think clearly and in time things will turn around or we’ll be able to cope with these obstacles. Surrounding yourself with positivity is key. Have you ever spent time in a place where the people have accents and before you know it you’ve picked up that accent or used a word they constantly use? That’s because we pick up on our surroundings.

Recently my girlfriend turned me on to ReWire Me and asked me to write about the site. I was initially planning on going to the site, writing quickly to tell you all about it and then being done. While researching ReWire Me (http://www.rewireme.com) I found that this site is a perfect pick me up read. It’s all about self awareness and transforming into your best self. This is what I preach to people all the time! The articles are inspirational, heartfelt, and being able to relate to each and every one of us. You will find something about relationships, self discovery, anxiety, health, and much more.

As I said earlier, staying positive is work. There’s a pathway that we all travel to get there and once we’re there we need to practice it and help others to get there. With every chapter in our life we need to ReWire Me to assure we stay in our “happy place”. I encourage you to not only check out ReWire Me but to try these exercises to build your confidence

  • Every day look in the mirror and greet yourself positively (Hello Beautiful, You’re looking fabulous today, Your eyes shine like stars)
  • Every day write something wonderful about yourself ( I’m a wonderful friend, I helped XXX, I’m humble, I dance so good Justin Timeberlake should be my partner
  • Give someone else a compliment
  • When you get a compliment- look back and say thank you (you’ll notice most people get embarrassed and put their head down)
  • When you’re talking to someone look them in the eye (You’ve been told this your whole life)
  • Do something for yourself each day!! I can’t stress this enough. It can be five extra minutes in the shower, a glass of wine when the kids go to bed, get a mani or pedi

Always be yourself, express yourself, have faith in yourself, do not go out and look for a successful personality and duplicate it. ~Bruce Lee

Success is not final, failure is not fatal: it is the courage to continue that counts. ~Winston Churchill

Once you’re a pro at the above, you will feel great, look beautiful, and ready to rock the world!

Lastly, Leave me a comment telling me something wonderful about YOU – I’m sure you have beautiful children and you married prince charming but I don’t want to know about them, I want to know about you!

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
