This year has been a killer with allergies. It seems everyone I talk to has had a battle with allergies. I had some signs and as they progressed I would up with a full blown head cold which settled in my chest. I wasn’t stuffy, congested, and didn’t have a sore throat, yet I would get that tickle in my throat and then it would start!!!!! That ugly horrifying coughing fit that you can’t control. You cough uncontrollably, hunch over in hopes you don’t throw up, cross your legs in hopes you don’t pee on your self, and you try to take sips of something in between hoping to coat that one spot in your throat. This is the cough that lasts 2-4 weeks and while sleeping can pop up at any time during the night no matter what cough medicine you take.
I’m very close to this cough as I have it now. I am a smoker which DOES NOT help at all, however, after talking with many non-smokers, this is a universal cough. Last month I was asked to join the Poise campaign (as noted above) and I wrote about my introduction to Poise. Since then, I have actually made Poise microliners part of my routine, especially with this cough. As I said in my previous post, the Poise micro liners are so thin and absorbent you barely know they’re there.
While I have this cough, I’ll always wear one and have an extra one or two in my purse. I’ve gotten over the “OMG it’s a pee pad vs a liner”! It takes up little room in my purse, it’s extremely thin, and very absorbent . When I’m having a coughing fit, I would much rather go change a microliner than my panties, any day!
