March 16, 2014 Justin Beam Leave a Comment

t (11)

We begin with a pot of water boiling on the stove then we slowly see a girl running from a walker ou the window. Going back in time a day or so  we catch up to Carol & Lizzy talking while Tyreese & Mika sleep on the tracks. The next day Carol tends to Tyreese’s wounds & they continue on their way. Soon Carol says that she needs to go find some water and takes Mika with her. On their walk Carol tries to explain to Mika that she has to protect herself & she will sometimes have to kill walkers & maybe even people. Then they come up on a house that is abandoned. Back at the tracks Tyreese & Lizzy are approached by a walker & when Tyreese goes to kill it Lizzy talks him into leaving it alone since it was trapped.

Carol & crew head for the house. While her & Tyreese clear the house a walker comes out a side door after Lizzy, t (13)Mika & Judith. Once he is close Mika finds the courage to put him down & Lizzy is speechless, almost upset or angry that she did it. The group begins to settle into the house, eating the pecans that are growing on the property. Tyreese walks into the living room with the girls and just stares blankly at them. He says that he isn’t used to a living room and being normal & Mika tells him to relax & that they could stay there!  The next day Carol begins to boil water in the kitchen and when she looks out the window it is Lizzy outside running from a walker(Our episode opening scene). Carol runs outside & kills it but as soon as she does Lizzyt (14) immediately explodes in anger. Lizzy just kept screaming at her that the walker was her friend and that she didn’t want to hurt her. The next day Carol takes Mika out hunting, to talk to her again. Mika continues to tell Carol that she doesn’t want to hurt people & that she can run. Soon they come across a deer and Mika raises the rifle to shoot it but lowers the weapon and tells Carol that she cant do it.

Carol & Tyreese are out gathering water again & Lizzy sneaks away back to the tracks to visit the t (6)trapped walker. When Mika finds her she draws her gun but Lizzy tells her to stop. Saying that he just wants her to change to be like him & he doesn’t want to hurt her. Suddenly out of the woods comes a small pack of walkers that chase the girls back to the house. Carol & Tyreese hear their screams & rush to them. The girls make it back to the fences outside the house but Mika falls as she tries to climb through. A walker grabs her leg & Lizzy comes in to pull her away as Carol shoots the walker. After a few seconds Lizzy joins in to help them stop the walkers. That night Lizzy tells Carol that she had to help stop them and that she knows what she has to do now.

The next day Carol & Tyreese are out hunting again & when they return Lizzy is standing outside the house with t (8)Judith on a blanket & her hands are covered in blood. Once they get closer they see that she is still gripping a knife & that she had killed Mika. When Carol walks up she reaches for her knife but Lizzy pulls her gun telling her that they have to wait. That Mika will come back and they will see, then she tells them that she was just getting ready to change Judith. Carol convinces her to go inside with Tyreese, telling her that she will tie Mika up so she doesn’t get away.

Later that day Tyreese & Carol are talking about Lizzy and what to do. Tyreese tells her that Lizzy has a box of mice & she has been feeding the walkers. He also tells her that he asked Lizzy about feeding the walkers, she admitted to feeding the walkers at the prison. She also tells him that she was just having some fun when she skinned the rat & nailed it to the board in the tombs. Carol & Tyreese agree that they have to do something. The next day Carol takes t (10)Lizzy out into the field to talk. Lizzy asks Carol whats wrong and if she is mad at her. Lizzy tells her that she is sorry for pointing her gun at her & please don’t be mad. Still she just cant understand that she killed her sister and that walkers are bad. So after a minute Carol shoots her in the back of the head. That night back at the house Tyreese tells carol that they cant stay there after all that has happened. Carol slides her pistol across the table to Tyreese and she tells him that she is the one that killed Karen! Tyreese sits back and grips the pistol as Carol tells him to do what he has to do. After a minute & a few questions Tyreese tells Carol that he is going to forgive her, ut will not forget. The next day Carol, Tyreese & Judith take off on their way & leave the farm.

Why did no one warn us that menopause would turn our bodies into a crime scene… Dryness. Pain. Sneezing roulette. UTIs showing up uninvited. And doctors smiling politely and saying, “That’s just aging.” Cool. Love that for us.

Say Hello to Silky Peach Cream 🍑 A bioidentical estriol cream that works locally to rebuild thinning tissue, restore moisture, and bring back comfort where it actually matters. Not a Band-Aid. Not a $350 prescription. Not a lube that disappears by lunchtime.

Estriol is the gentlest form of estrogen our bodies naturally make, and Silky Peach Cream puts it back exactly where menopause took it away. Over time, tissue rebuilds, moisture returns, and suddenly intimacy doesn’t feel like sandpaper and regret.

Two pumps nightly. Then maintenance. Because it took years to get this dry… it’s okay if it takes a little time to feel normal again.

I’m done whispering about menopause. I got my life back. And my peach is happy again!

I didn’t expect this to be the hardest part of getting older.

If sex hurts. If you avoid intimacy. If you dread wiping.

It’s not “just dryness.” It’s estrogen loss. And yes, it’s fixable.

Menopause doesn’t ease in quietly. It shows up hot, uncomfortable, and disruptive. And for way too long, women are told to whisper about it or accept it as “just aging.” I’m done with that.

Silky Peach Cream helped restore moisture, rebuild thinning tissue, and bring back comfort where menopause took it away. Not a quick fix. Not a Band-Aid. Just real, gradual relief that made me feel like myself again.

Two pumps. Some patience. And a lot less suffering.

Stop whispering about menopause. You deserve relief. You deserve joy. Your peach deserves to be happy again.

Get the details and try it for yourself at the link in my bio.

When I found out I needed surgery, my 1st thought wasn’t the procedure. It was the fear of being handed opioids again with no real choice. After my last surgery, opioids were the only option I had, my insurance didn’t cover the non-opioid alternatives I specifically asked for. That showed me how quickly exposure can happen. Many people don’t realize that about 1 in 10 patients who receive opioids after surgery will struggle with long-term use. That’s nearly 4 million people per year. It’s no secret that opioids can lead to addiction, & we should be much louder about the fact that there are non opioid options that can be used during surgery to manage pain afterwards.
Medicare already recognizes this & separately reimburses for FDA-approved non-opioid pain treatments, proving these options are real & available. Yet insurance barriers often make them difficult or impossible to access. Instead of making decisions about my recovery with my doctor, insurance policy made them for me. As I prepare for my next surgery, I want access to every option that reduces my exposure. I know how easily things can escalate. I’ve seen opioid use continue far longer than intended. It can tear apart families before anyone realizes what’s happening. What starts as short-term pain management after surgery becomes something no one ever expected, simply because safer options were never offered. It’s frustrating that some major insurers still haven’t expanded coverage the way Medicare has. #UnitedHealthcare is one of the companies whose restrictions make it harder to access FDA-approved non-opioid surgical pain options. Because of their size, these decisions affect millions. Surgery shouldn’t be a gateway to opioid addiction. Medicare covers these options. UnitedHealthcare & others need to do the same so patients aren’t pushed toward opioids by outdated policies. Patients & families deserve better.
