What is our infatuation with dancing? Could it be the fact that when you move our body to the beat of music you simply can’t stop smiling. Maybe it’s that you can lose yourself within the song for a few minutes & totally forget all your stresses. It could be the primal instinct within us all that tells us to move our body to attract a mate. Whatever it is, whenever you feel it you can’t help but Just Dance!
I recently had the opportunity to review Just Dance 2014 & received a copy to facilitate this review. My family & I have been fans of Just Dance since the original came out in 2009. This is one of those games that the entire family can enjoy together & get a little healthy competition! So without further delay here are my opinions about the all new Just Dance 2014.
The updated response with the Kinect selector is great. The cursor jumps to the necessary spot making it easier to choose what you want without accidentally moving off & having to restart the selection counter. For me this is a huge upgrade as the previous version really became annoying after a while. The new On Stage Mode allows you to lead back-up dancers to really put your moves in the spot light! Ubisoft also added World Dance Floor where you can dance with anyone anywhere in the world (Internet Connection required). For those of you that are like me & just can’t get yourself to work out in a traditional manner the Just Sweat Mode is back & can be customized to any song!
Autodance is also back with an upgrade. You can use Autodance to transform your hard core dance moves into your own videos! You can even share it with whoever you want instantly! (with an Internet Connection). One of my favorite features is Karaoke, you can earn bonus points for singing along as you dance!
The on screen graphics are great with captivating special effects & themes. The music as always is full of the hottest tracks & also includes some of our favorite throwbacks. See the full list of tracks here. There is plenty of alternate choreography that will keep you & your guests on your toes.
So what is my recommendation? If you are like me with limited dancing talent & are looking to have a good time with friends/ family at your next get together Just Dance 2014 is for you. If you are looking for a virtual dance instructor to teach you step by 
step you may want to look at some of the other titles out there. The long & short of it is if you want to have a good time without needing to be a professional dancer then get out there & enjoy yourself with Just Dance 2014! Until next time Gamers!
