When Hostess shut down, there were many items that would be missed. One of them being Twinkies! I wasn’t a die hard Twinkie eater but I did enjoy a Twinkie now and then. Twinkie, like many other Hostess items are American icons, I think every college student has had a love affair with Twinkies and of course it was something you could keep forever…… Or at least that’s what most of us thought. The actual shelf life was 25 days!! Who Knew?!?! I can honestly say I have most definitely ate old Twinkies. I’m still here so whatever.
I think I’m more excited about the Twinkie coming back because that may mean my bread will come back. Since Wonder has been gone, I have not found a white bread that is to my liking. I’m very finicky about my bread and I’m not a wheat, bran, or any other kind of bread. Give me my soft white Wonder for my peanut butter and Fluff! Not to mention my chocolate cupcakes and so many other guilty pleasures.

The Twinkie will be making it’s come back on July 15th!! The duo will also have a longer shelf life. They now can last 45 days! Hostess even decided that they will freeze the cakes so they get to the grocer frozen and they can stamp the shelf life date on the cakes as they defrost them.
