Need Extra Cargo Space? Hyundai Venue Should Be Your Go-To Vehicle

February 25, 2025 Rachel Ferrucci

If you’re going to purchase a new vehicle for yourself or your family, you need to think about what matters to you the most. If price is what you prioritize, you may need to buy one used or certified pre-owner rather than brand new. If you like to have all the latest gadgets, you will want to peruse the models that feature them.

If you need extra cargo space, though, and you’re looking at subcompact SUVs, it usually comes down to a careful comparison of the models available in your price range. If you visit your local Hyundai dealership, Tomball residents, you may note that the Hyundai Venue is aesthetically appealing and priced to own.

How does it fare in the cargo space department, though? To learn the answer, read on.

Why Might You Want Extra Cargo Space?

First, let’s discuss why having extra cargo space in your next vehicle is something that matters to many city dwellers. The demographic that is usually on the lookout for high-end, subcompact SUVs are parents or individuals who are thinking about starting a family soon. They want the size of an SUV so they can fit several people in there comfortably, but they also want the subcompact so that it can fit in an average-sized garage.

You may want some extra cargo space because you enjoy going camping a lot, and you like the idea of loading up your tent, food, and other supplies in the cargo area. You may also need to lug a lot of sporting equipment around if you have the next soccer or baseball star living under your roof.

Even if you don’t have any kids, though, there are still plenty of reasons why you may want that extra cargo space. Maybe you like to drive to the nearest homeless shelter with a vehicle full of canned goods.

How Much Cargo Space Comes with the Venue?

Hyundai vehicles are known to do pretty well in the cargo space department anyway, but the Venue is a standout. You get 18.7 cubic feet behind the second row of seats. The max cargo capacity if you reconfigure the seats is 31.9 cubic feet.

You’re not going to do much better than that in the subcompact SUV class. If you go up to a full-size SUV, then you’ll get more room, but you’re usually looking at a price point anywhere between $8K-$15K higher.

The Innovative Design

It’s not just extra space that makes the Venue such an attractive option, though. It’s also the ease of switching the seat configuration.

A complaint with some vehicles in this class is the difficulty in switching up the seating arrangement if you’re loading up bags of fertilizer from the local Home Depot or doing something similar. With the Venue, the rear seats fold down in an instant.

With extra luggage, shopping trips, and other daily tasks covered, it’s hard not to put the Venue at the top of your list of subcompact SUV candidates.

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
