March in Connecticut is a great time to explore the many things to do in this beautiful state. From outdoor activities like hiking, biking, and skiing to indoor fun like visiting museums and shopping, there’s something for everyone. Here are some of the top things to do in Connecticut during March:

Take a Hike

Connecticut has some of the most beautiful parks and trails perfect for a springtime hike. Pack a picnic and take in the views of nature all around you as you explore what Connecticut has to offer.

  • Bear Mountain – Bear Mountain is the highest point in Connecticut and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside. The summit can be reached via a number of different trails, including the Appalachian Trail. Bear Mountain is a great place for a day hike or an overnight camping trip.
  • Kent Falls State Park – Kent Falls State Park is located in northwestern Connecticut and features a series of cascading waterfalls. The park also has a number of hiking trails, picnic areas, and camping sites. Kent Falls is a great place to enjoy the outdoors with family and friends.

  • Mohawk Mountain – Mohawk Mountain is located in Cornwall, Connecticut, and offers a variety of trails for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The mountain has a vertical drop of 800 feet and receives an average of 150 inches of snow each year.
  • Ski Sundown – Ski Sundown is located in New Hartford, Connecticut, and offers 22 trails for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The mountain has a vertical drop of 700 feet and receives an average of 100 inches of snow each year.
  • Powder Ridge – Powder Ridge is located in Middlefield, Connecticut, and offers 15 trails for all levels of skiers and snowboarders. The mountain has a vertical drop of 600 feet and receives an average of 100 inches of snow each year.
