The Summer Fashion Tips You Need In Your Life

April 30, 2019 Rachel Ferrucci

Summer is very quickly creeping up on us, which means it’s time to get your best summer clothes out again! Dressing for the summer months can sometimes be a struggle, but I’ve got a few top tips that’ll guide you.

Put comfort first

The summer months are somewhat unique in that you kind of have to prioritize comfort more than at any other time of the year. With winter fashion, most things are soft and fluffy, so you’re comfortable in them anyway. In summer, you have to be mindful of how you’ll feel when the heat rises. Avoid clothes that are overly tight and restrictive as they’ll be so uncomfy when you’re walking around in the sun. Things like dresses, skirts, and loose-fitting trousers are excellent ideas because they’re comfortable and fashionable!

Bring out the bright colors

The brilliant thing about summer is that it brings us plenty of daylight – along with great weather. As such, a lot of your time is spent outside, rather than being cooped up indoors trying to keep warm. So, when the sun’s shining and the sky is blue, it makes sense to add your own colors to the scene as well. Bright colors are perfect for summer fashion, so bear this in mind. There are plenty of online boutique dress stores that sell bright and vibrant dresses that are ideal for the warmer months. Blues, yellows, oranges – and any other similar colors – are all excellent choices in summer.

Don’t forget your accessories

Another great thing about summer fashion is that you have a whole host of great accessories you can call upon. Compare this to something like fall fashion, where you don’t really have loads of options. Here, you’ve got sunglasses, a range of hats, and you can actually wear jewelry that will be seen by other people! You’re not as covered up as you are in the colder months so you can wear big necklaces that compliment your outfits. A few accessories can really help tie an outfit together, so keep that in mind when you’re getting dressed.

Always have a light cardigan/hoody at the ready

Finally, it makes a whole lot of sense to have a light cardigan or hoody by your side at all times. Why? Because you’ve got something that can be handy during those times where the sun might go in, and it gets quite chilly. The weather can be somewhat unpredictable at times, and you don’t want to be caught out. Plus, if you’re out well into the evening, then the temperature is going to drop. By having something light, it’s easy for you to carry around and won’t be too warm when you put it on.

Do you want to look good when the sun’s out? If so, then make sure you pay attention to these four summer fashion tips. I love this time of the year as it’s a great chance to be creative and wear a range of different outfits. Plus, you just feel so much happier when you’re wearing summer clothes and enjoying the lovely weather.

You’ll find a replica David in the square but going to Accademia Gallery in Florence and seeing this breathtaking statue by Michelangelo is 100% worth it, whether you like art or not. His right leg has a tree stump which balances the entire statue.
